Fine, first half-season. (Them and their silly "mid season hiatus".)

SG seasons seem to be really long. Like, they run from fall to mid summer. Weird huh?

Not that I'm complaining. :)

That'd be sorta like the war between the replicators and the Goa'uld - it'd be short and boring. Wraith have better tech and everything.

Unless (since they are part human) the Wraith can be possessed by a Goa'uld .. taken as a host. Then things would be very different, as a Goa'uld with a Wraith host would have access to not only the host Wraith's memories but of other Wraith's nearby as well (because they're psychic). Thus it'd be easy for such a Goa'uld to learn about and use and perhaps even build Wraith technology.

They'd have a disadvantage though in the fact that they can't hide among real Wraith - the psychic ability means that a Goa'uld would be detected instantly.

I wonder if a Wraith could feed off of a Jaffa. Hmm.

True, it'd also probably be a bit like Alien vs. Predator

Larval, I agree that The Wraith are a lot more powerful than the G'ould. on the other hand, the oreyell (sp?) are more powerful than both combined. But I don't know why it was so easy for SG1 to defeat them while they were building that giant stargate.

Although the G'ould are the classic stargate story so I'm kinda interested in anything related to the G'ould.

Stargate Atlantis is getting to be a lot more exciting than Stargate SG1.

On another note, I can't believe Ricky D is no longer on the cast of SG1. It kinda isn't fun w/out him.

What are your predictions regarding the orei'll?

Because, at that point, the Ori couldn't challenge anyone in that galaxy directly. They could only do so through priors - and the one prior that they had nearby was undoubtably killed when the black hole reformed.

Ori were probably used to using their superpowers, and thus too arrogant to make use of self correcting technologies. Same arrogance the Goa'uld seem to have, by the way.

Orii are like the new version of the Goa'uld. They can even possess people and speak through them, though unlike the Goa'uld they don't need to.

Well, once the weapon works and the powers of the priors are negated, the Ori will move to attack the galaxy directly. And then there will be a debate among the Ascended in this galaxy on whether to fight back or just leave. Obviously a sizable force would decide to stay and fight (else Earth is just doomed), so we'll finally see ancient vs ancient (sort of) battles.

Meanwhile, the Ori's followers will attempt to attach the humans of Earth and having Baal around will make it that much harder to fight back.

So like a cosmic battle, fought on multiple planes of existence.

Just a guess though.

That WOOD be cool, but i dout itll happen, now that theres so few Goa'uld who actaully have a power base. Mabey if that clone of Anubis gets on his feet on the galactic gamebord, he mite get into a bit of a scrap with them.

It wasnt eesy, and if the Priors had been able to fortify it with a fleet, it probably wood have been ny-on impossible >.<

Short battles, and eesily determined - Anubis vs Oma Desalain the back half of seeson 8, the battles will allways be decided on numbers according to the nature of Anubis and Omas fite.

He gets promoted to General and given command of the SGC at the start of the 8th seeson, so hes no longer a member of SG1, and he gets promoted to head of Homeworld Security (all interstellar defence operations, including the SGC, Alpha Site, Antarctican outpost and probably Atlantis, as well as the defence fleet - granted at the moment its just 2 capships an a few dozen fiters, but its still counted as a fleet lol) in Washington somewere between the end of seeson 8 an the start of seeson 9, and hes no longer a regular on the show cos of that.

Agreed. Once the fleet was there, they would have been doomed. They just got a lucky break in that the Ori didn't think that the supergate could be so easily destroyed by putting a ship there to disrupt it.

No, that would be boring.

Oma didn't kill Anubis anyways. She wasn't allowed to. She was just basically holding him still so he couldn't do anything in any of the places of existence - but she couldn't either, not while she was holding on to him.

The Ascendant Daniel Jackson knew of a method that could kill Anubis but he was unable to use it because Oma interfered (and if she hadn't the Others would have).

Presumably similar methods could be used to kill other ascendants, including the Others (Ancients) and the Ori.

Fights of light vs flame would be really cool too.

Well, what are you going to do tie him up until he agrees to rejoin the cast?

He wanted to leave, no one was able to stop him. If the guy wants to spend more time with his family, let him. The show manages to survive without him (at least for now).

PS He's not in the original movie either.

PPS The owners of the Stargate film and the Stargate SG-1 franchise are not the same. So we could have a Stargate 2 film which completely ignores and disregards everything mentioned in the SG-1 series (including the idea that Goa'ulds are snake-like things - in the movie you could see the real bluish glowing alien form right before the bomb blew up).

PPPS The Jaffa aren't mentioned by name in the movie, though you see people who look like them (and according to SG-1 series, are Jaffa).

I didnt think it was that Oma wasnt ALLOWED to kill Anubis, so much as neether was capable of getting one over on the other cos they were completely matched, and I interpreted that as meening all ascended beengs were equally matched.

If your rite, and Oma simply wasnt allowed to kill him, then yeh, Ancient vs Ori battles wood be kinda cool.
