Hot Fuzz.
Possibly the tightest script ever devised.

I just got back from seeing Finding Nemo 3D.

Even in 3D, it's still a great movie to watch.

I saw that one, I didn't really get into it.

I just saw Silent House with Elizabeth Olsen.

Where the Wild Things Are

My mom bought this movie for me the other day.

I really enjoyed this movie because the time that Max spent with the Wild Things, both the good and the bad, reminded me a lot of the relationship I have with my imaginary friends. Though I was surprised by the fact that the Wild Things generally acted more like antiheroes than cuddly creatures (though they did have their affectionate moments). But I suppose that that's why they're called "Wild Things".

The movie also kind of reminded me of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland in a way because of the "young person runs away from harsh reality to a mystical land, only to leave the mystical land and go home in the end" plot. But the similarities end there, because while Alice made things better for her world before leaving, Max made things worse for his (though not on purpose). My only complaint is that the movie ended rather abruptly.

L.A. Confidential

Well-made crime drama taking place in 1950's Los Angeles.

One of my all time favorite movies. Based on a helluva book, too.

My wife and I just got finished watching The Invasion. Decent enough remake of the classic Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Funny thing is, people unaffected by the alien virus would try to pass themselves off as emotionless. I had to think, we Aspies would have no problem faking them out!

Rocky II

Rocky has a rematch with Apollo Creed and again goes 15 rounds with him. Only this time, he wins by a knockout.

We just rented The Cabin In The Woods today. All in all, a very good horror/comedy movie, with an ending I never would have suspected.

lostgirl1986, I found The Devil Inside somewhat hard to follow myself in fact, I actually fell asleep 45mins into the film though, I had to re-watch it to fully understand it.. On a similar note you'll never find my sister watch that film or even "The Exorcist" since it had a traumatic effect on her as, I can recall an incident where I was visiting with her and was browsing through the cable channels and coincindentially speaking, the exorcist happened to be on one of those channels and immediately my sister demaned that I change the channel!! ! Well, I'lll admit there has been some films that have given me the creeps but, none has traumatized me though..
