Five more that haven't been mentioned along with a few degrees of separation between a few of the films:
1). Lucas from the film "Lucas" (played by Corey Haim). An 80's classic also starring Kerri Green and Charlie Sheen, and a little bit of trivia, this was Winona Ryder's first film role. Actually, it was also Jeremy Piven's first movie as well. Currently on imdb it is up 96% in popularity this week, likely because it has been on AMC lately. So let's everyone go visit the page now so we can bump this up to 100% haha.
2). Kirk from the TV show "Gilmore Girls" (played by Sean Gunn, who can also be seen in the
KGB-Knowledge Generation Bureau-commercials.... "Text your question to 542542").
There is even an episode where he is preparing for a date by filming himself sitting alone in
a diner ahead of time so that he can go back and study his facial expressions and the
appropriate angles that he should be seated.... I'm sure regular viewers of this show would
agree that he probably has asperger's although it is never specifically mentioned that he
does.
3). In the film "Sydney White" starring Amanda Bynes and Sara Paxton (which is sort of a modern day version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), Sydney (Bynes) is taken in by 7 outcasts in "The Vortex." I would say that at least 3 of the 7 of them have asperger's, especially Jeremy who does not directly communicate with others (he communicates by talking with a sock puppet on his hand and won't make eye contact). Also, Terrence who shows up rich at the end of the film because he cashed in on his invention (and this same actor, Jeremy Howard, can also be seen blowing things up with his mind in the film "Accepted" starting Justin Long and Blake Lively...more useless movie connections, Lively co-starred with Alexis Bledel in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and Bledel co-starred with Sean Gunn in "Gilmore Girls"!
) and George also is likely to have asperger's.
4). Eric from "The Boy Who Could Fly" is likely autistic, but I wouldn't say he has asperger's.
5). Another 80's movie, "The Wizard" starring Fred Savage, Jenny Lewis and Christian Slater, features a 5 year old kid named Jimmy played by Luke Edwards (who later went on to play the kid who manages the Minnesota Twins in the 90's film "Little Big League," which coincidentally co-stars Scott Patterson who later played Luke Danes in "Gilmore Girls" who is the character that owns the diner that Kirk(Sean Gunn) films himself in--my my we've come full circle here!!). In the film, the young boy is basically mute (perhaps it's more so selective mutism rather than an autism spectrum disorder) but he is a pro at playing video games, and his older brother (Fred Savage, who was also in "The Boy Who Could Fly"!) runs away with him and he enters his brother in a video game contest. And in the end, he wins at Super Mario Brothers 3 on Nintendo!!). Sorry to give away the ending haha, but still a fun movie for kids (I saw this in the theater when I was 5 and loved it
