What I am trying to say is that Nolans films and Schumacers films offer you different experiences. Begings at the Dark Knight are not better than Batman Forever its just they offer you the chance to experience the over side of batman.

Jamesy. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Just don't ram your opinions down other Bat-fans throats. Batman Forever ISN'T the be-all, end-all of movies, though you seem to think it is. So i was raised on the Burton films and the Animated Series, then i went to college and began reading the comics and graphic novels. SUE ME!

All that I am trying to say is that neither the dark knight nor batman begins are better than batman forever its just that they are completely different films and bring different things to the table. Your being arrogent going around saying nolans films are better than batman forever because their styles are so completely different that you cannot really compare.

Correction, your the one that's being arrogant. You act like you know everything about films, when you don't have a clue. And Batman Begins wipes the floor with Forever in terms of actually making Batman the sociopathic vigilante with serious issues and fleshing out the character of Bruce Wayne into a real brainless airhead. It deals with our terror-twitchy times.

We all can't have the same views as you, Jamesy.

Your repeating yourself again. You do know that Batman Begins took inspiration from Year One and The Man Who Falls? Same goes for Dark Knight with the Long Halloween inspiration. If that's being stubborn, then i don't know what is.

You and other 'die hard' comic books fans live in a such a fragile world that you can't take it when someone invades it and has a differeing point of view about Batman. Thats the truth right there and you know it, don't deny it cause that makes you just as bad as me.

And guess what you criticise me for not being able to differ my beliefs about batman from other people well suprise surpise you and your other loyal bloodhound muts on this forum are doing exactely the same by saying batman should be this and that.

What does that have to do with anything? Im actually an open-minded person when it comes to other non-Batman subjects, so don't patronise me and run your mouth at me, oh wise and noble one. I don't run around these forums shoving my opinions down other users throats, do i? Neither do i throw a massive queen-sized s**t fit of a strop because i find James Nesbitt smug, do i?!

Jamesey I am going into film as well and I can say without a doubt you are going into the wrong field. You seem to believe that movies are just to entertain and nothing else. Well you could not be more wrong! Sure movies are there to entertain but they are also there to make you think, or to get a point across. And also I know you personally did not find The Dark Knight entertaining but you need to realize a lot of people did and you are in the minority. I honestly believe if you go into film we will have another Uwe Boll in our hands when in reality what we need is another Stantley Kubrick. (My biggest influence in going into film, as well as Christopher Nolans) You honestly don't have the slightest clue about film or what makes them good or enjoyable. You seem to be the type of person who isn't able to comprehend anything more than explosions and fart jokes. You may be attempting to go into film but that sure as hell doesn't mean you know anything about it.

You talk about comics and you forgot about the batman roots in the old adam west series back in the 1960's. That series has just as big of a cult following as the comic books. I should know I used to know a guy who lived locally that owned the batmobile used in the adam batman series.

Don't argue with someone who is studying films and knows what makes a good worthwile movie. Oh yeah just for reference as well the ohter day I talked to my film studies class about the comedy side of batman and they agreed with me that the old batman films are better than nolans adaptions.

I got a B and one or 2 A's in most of my film exams at college so I am good at the craft of film. You guys are slightly misguided yourselfs I am afraid to say.

1. you have no idea about batman, you haven't read the comics so you can't say what batman should be. you have no idea what you are talking about, so you sound like a bigger idiot when you talk

2. us die-hard fans know about batman, we have read the comics so we can say what batman should be. ignorant people ruined batman with batman and robin. when batman was given a great reboot, you, not knowing what you are talking about, criticize it for "not being entertaining enough" for your tastes. FYI: both of nolan's films got MUCH better reviews than schumacher's abominations you hold so dear to you.

Well then, your film class must be smoking the crack you pass around daily to get everyone to think and act like you. What makes a good worthwhile movie then?! Do tell....

Read the post I posted just before yours.

Just because you are going into film doesn't mean you know anything about it. I mean look at Uwe Boll. He doesn't have the slightest clue of what makes a good film yet he is still in the buisness. Also I am going into film as well and I am obviously a lot more intelligent than you so how about you don't argue with me.

Well like i have said i keep getting good grades so I can't be that bad.

Oh yeah by the way the majority in my class including my film lecturer all thought that Burtons adaption of batman was better than Nolans. They also said that Batman Forever was just as good as Batman Begins.
