I'd also say Hugh Dancy's character from Adam and Moss from The IT Crowd.

Hi guys,

new to the forum.

New series the Bridge

found at imdb /title/tt1733785/

This is a new scandanavian crime drama that has just come out that I just started watching this week. It is based around two cops, one Danish one Swede, who have to solve a complex serial killer case.

I had no idea about the show until I saw it on BBC iPlayer, all I knew is that I liked the Killing and had a hunch this might be good too. I certainly had no idea that the Swedish cop Saga Norén was on the spectrum, but within a minute of her being on the screen I had my suspicions, and quickly concluded she is one of the best portrayals of an aspie I've seen. It is slightly far fetched that she is supposed to not really know that she's an aspie, nor anyone around her. In this day and age (one assumes) high-ranking professionals in crime-prevention who necessarily deal with a very broad spectrum of people-types themselves would at some point work out or come in contact with someone who would work out that an individual in their midst may be on the spectrum. But it doesn't detract from the show.

The show is brilliant, as good as the Killing if not better, and if thats your thing check it out.

Rain Main and the real life Kim Peek did not have Asperger's. The suffered from a genetic defect of the Y chromosome. Forest Gump was a borderline ret*d and not on the spectrum.

Maura Isles off Rizzoli and Isles, purely because apparently Kathy Reichs approached Janet Tamaro (the writer of Rizzoli and Isles) and asked her if Maura was an Aspie, which is something if a NT notices it :)

Temperance Brennan from Bones, because I read somewhere on t'interweb that Kathy Reichs based her off someone with ASD anyways, so it makes sense for people to be able to see some characteristics in her.
