Was drugging Watson really that big a deal? I thought he did as a kind of practical joke. He seemed to be enjoying it :/

If that's the case then it proves my point even further.

A bit of speculation: Sherlock "used" John to solve the case because that was the priority, but it was in laboratory conditions ( ) and he knew that John was not in danger at all, so nothing could have harmed him anyway.

To me, Sherlock looks more like he wants to be a sociopath (he did say that he wants to keep himself detached from feelings), rather than he actually is one.

Same feelings here. Sherlock only wants to scare off certain people he does not like, and he knows well that if he says that he is a sociopath, people will go out of his way, which is exactly what he wants. YET I believe he is an Aspie, the logical type - like me.

Moriarty, on the other hand, is a textbook sociopath. However, I prefer his portrayal from the movies with Jeremy Brett or the latest one in Sherlock Holmes: A game of shadows by Guy Ritchie. There, he is played by Jared Harris, son of the late Richard Harris who played e.g. Prof. Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potters.

So now in the latest episode of Sherlock we have Watson diagnosing Sherlock as an Aspie. You know, this, combined with Bones and Doc Martin, leads me to believe that a somewhat positive stereotype is emerging about us Aspies.

I think everyone is now going to expect us to be able to do a "Sherlock Scan" at a moment's notice. :?

That said, Sherlock's "memory palace" scene did remind me of how my own thought process works.

Thoughts?

Ditto on the thought process. I do a similar thing myself sometimes. As to stereotypes, in my opinion Sherlock Holmes is better than Rain Man; 'bout time that stereotype got buried.
