I saw Nebraska on the big screen yesterday. I echo the comments made by a previous post about this movie. I thought it was quite a sweet film with some good laughs. Definitely worth checking out if it's showing near you. I also watched The Fury yesterday. This is a 1978 supernatural thriller starring Kirk Douglas about a government agent trying to locate his psychic son who has been kidnapped by a sinister official who wants to use his powers as a weapon. I thought this was a fairly interesting movie with some good acting (particularly by Douglas and John Cassavetes as the main villain) and a memorable ending.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the video motion in 3D was bad, but the story was good.
Free Birds, was way better that anticipated.
Homefront, hmm should have known. Lets show 10 year old kids how to kick other kids' teeth in.
Escape Plan, that was good, except for the part as to how a lawyer becomes a body builder and then kicks ass.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, interesting history review. An ordinary man with faults makes good decisions for the future at the price of his own family.
Ender's Game, that was good. But I'm really getting tired of how super intelligent everybody are in the movies.
Baggage Claim, Paula Patton is good looking, but the movie had a rocky start and seemed predictable as always, but at least it didn't leave a sour taste in my mouth.
Hunger Games: Catching Fire, hmm boring and predictable and it is like the Matrix movies all over again.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

I liked the film though I didn't really care for the love triangle thing. I love/hate the cliffhanger because now I have to wait for the final film which is coming out next year but I liked the cliffhanger itself though.

The Hobbit just this weekend, definitely better than the first, not that there's a bad film in the Hobbit/LOTR franchise at all.

Just re-watched Fantasia (1940)

Three words: Pure. Disney. Magic.

Just watched Desolation of Smaug
I liked it and It was better than the first with more anticipation of what came next.
One complaint I have is why did Jackson make Smaug a wyvern? (I thought Jackson would finally break this trend in films about dragons).
I also watched Hunger Games: Catching Fire earlier this month, it was awesome.
Both movies have cliffhangers, the one from Hunger Games was like they were preparing your mind for it.

Doghouse. I liked it unlike most other "horror-comedy".

Currently watching Man Of Steel, which I got my wife for Christmas. So far so good.

Django Unchained.

Quentin Torintino's take on the western genre, which my wife got me as a Christmas gift.
Christoph Waltz is without peer!

Thor: The Dark World, Frozen, and Black Dynamite (the movie, not the Adult Swim series)

Watched it with my sister, got it for her as a Christmas gift.

Horror movie that didn't rely on blood & gore, just old-fashioned scares not seen in a long time.

I just got back from seeing A Madea Christmas.
