Not sure if a documentary exactly counts, but I just got through watching Blackfish, and my mind was officially blown...

blackifsh, is that a documentary about house Tully?

Saw "the wolf of wallstreet" If you are still pissed off about 2008 this movie will make you mad. If you have 2 laughing business school students behind you it will make you furious.

Aside from that it's basically a 3 hour long hookers and blow montage with the moral that subverting the economy is great fun, will get you laid: A LOT, and will culminate in a minor inconvenience a'la the federal court system before you go out and find another way to screw over humanity.

It's about Orca whales living in captivity. I've seen it, like, five times with my marine life-obsessed cousin.

Saw Out of the Furnace a few nights ago. I've seen better movies but what drew me to see it was that it was filmed in and loosely portrayed life in the region I'm from. One of the locations was a little town really close to where I was born and spent several of my early years.

The Ruins.

A group of college kids on vacation find themselves trapped in the ruin of a Mayan temple by local tribesmen. They learn too late that the locals are in fact quarantining them after they've become exposed to the horror growing within and without the pyramid. Very creepy horror film.

Yeah, that's the one.

It's still kind of controversial, too.

Last movie I saw in cinema was 'The Hunger Games', which I absolutely loved :D

Watched 'Home Alone' on TV on Christmas Eve, which brought back a lot of childhood memories. Also watched 'The Butler', which was a really good movie...really sad.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Picking up where An Unexpected Journey left off, Bilbo Baggins accompanies the Company of Dwarves to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon known as Smaug. Meanwhile, Gandalf investigates the emergence of a new and familiar evil at Dol Guldur.....

Along the way, our intrepid heroes stop off for a brief breakfast with skin-changer Beorn, have a run-in with the spiders of Mirkwood, and endure a rollercoaster barrel escape that is one of TDOS's highlights. Orlando Bloom pops up as Legolas, while Evangeline Lilly shines as red-headed elf Tauriel.

But it's Smaug who undoubtedly steals the show. Backed by some very impressive CGI, Benedict Cumberbatch delivers his lines with cold-blooded and ominous vitriol.

In short, it's definitely worth two hours of your time and a real treat for the eyes. Now comes the wait for There and Back Again.....

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug

Just got back from watching this with my family. Much better movie than An Unexpected Journey, though there were some parts that should have been left out of the final product, such as the dwarf Kili getting into a love triangle with Legolas.

Martin Freeman once again delivers as Bilbo Baggins while Richard Armitage steals scene after scene as the a-hole dwarf Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the Company of Dwarves.

Overall, it's definitely worth the price of admission. However, consider renting a copy of An Unexpected Journey if you haven't seen it already.

Insidious: Chapter 2.

Sequel that starts up where the original movie left off. Explains who the evil old woman is, and why she's possessing Josh. Not as good as the original, but still, a decent horror flick.

I saw Argo. It was a nice film, and the part where the hostages were trying to get on the plane was effectively suspenseful and memorable.
Though I didn't not care too much about the main characters family (wife and son). They just did not have any background information about them that made it interesting to see them reconnect with him. I mean, all I knew was that Kevin was spending some time away from them. ... And, that was it, really.
Also, the time period of the film was very realistic. I actually thought it was in the late 70's/early 80's.
