You're Next.

Pretty good horror film with a couple surprise twists about a wealthy couple, having moved into a mansion out in the woods, invite their children and their significant others for a house warming. Soon, they find they are besieged by murderers wearing animal masks. One by one, each innocent family member is murdered. Or... are they all innocent?
Barbara Crampton (best known as Dean Halsey's daughter in Re-Animator) co-stars.

Frozen
It's a cute Disney movie musical that brings a feel similar to one of the animated movies of the 90s Disney Renaissance.

Frozen

Wow. Where do I even begin? I guess calling it the best animated movie I have seen since I was a child would be a good place to start! :D It wasn't cutesy, it wasn't juvenile, and the jokes were actually funny (and I rarely ever laugh at kid's movies!)

And the characters... Elsa and Anna were absolutely wonderful heroines. I could relate to them both in different ways (Anna's childlike personality and Elsa's desire to shut herself off from the rest of the world). I admit that prior to seeing the movie, I thought that Olaf the snowman was going to be an annoying little turd. But to my pleasant surprise, he turned out to be really adorable and funny! :o

All in all, I loved this movie. If you're like me and thought that Disney's other more recent animated movies kinda missed the mark, then you are in for a pleasant surprise with this one. Believe the hype!

American Hustle

Based on the notorious ABSCAM scandal in the late 70's, David O. Russell's crime drama focuses on Christian Bale's overweight, jazz-loving con artist who convinces Amy Adams' sexy and conniving magazine editor to work with him on a series of elaborate scams. Pretty soon, Bradley Cooper's wild FBI agent ropes them into working for him, and they soon venture into the dangerous world of the mob.

Despite the slow pace, AH is brilliant with standout performances from Bale and Adams. But the real scene stealer is Jennifer Lawrence as a loud-mouthed blonde housewife.

Her

Nominated for 5 Academy Awards as of yesterday, this romantic comedy set in the near-future focuses on Ted {Joaquin Phoenix}, an introverted man who makes a living writing letters for other people. He later purchases an operating system {for his computer} who reveals herself to be a female voice named Samantha {voiced by Scarlett Johannason}. As their bond grows stronger, their bond becomes more. It becomes love.

This is not a typical romantic comedy. It wasn't full of cliches, it wasn't boring, and the characters were easily understood. I could relate to Ted in many ways and IMO, he seemed very Aspie-ish. However, I'll admit that Catherine {Ted's ex-wife, played by Rooney Mara} would be nothing more than a self-centered bee-yotch. But she was more than that. She turned out to be a realistic, straightforward human being who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Overall, this movie is worth seeing. If you're struggling to find someone to love, go see this movie!

I did see this movie last Thursday and at one point I almost cried since I relate to the lead guy there. Well, mostly because of my fear that one day I may never find true love at a young age. Really great movie though, to the point my cousin said "Well we picked the right movie after all." (Since it was my brother's birthday that day and my cousin suggested we watch a movie. This was the end result.)

Up to now I can't get this film out of my head to the point I started to play Carly Simon's "That's the way I always thought it should be" and also "~Setsunasa~ The Biggest Dreamer" from the Digimon Tamers OST. Yes, the movie itself drove me to play sad songs because of it. I just can't help but feel sorry for the guy there.

But one question still baffled me from the movie- What does she mean she'll go to the cloud... did she die, or did she and the others found a new utopia for the OS's?

I thought it was fairly awesome.

Silver Linings Playbook

I know I'm over a year late (being slow is ok sometimes actually), but this was really great. Bradley Cooper played a great character and proved he's much more than "the guy from The Hangover" and I'm one of the millions of people head over heals for Jennifer Lawrence. The story was believable and sometimes relateable, as Pat and Tiffany had issues related to anxiety and bipolar, which I have traces of. Robert DeNiro was great as usual and Chris Tucker really surprised me.

Howl

A 2010 experimental film documenting the life of Allen Ginsburg and the 1957 obscenity trial over his most famous Beat poem.

Not bad.
