What We Do in the Shadows, season 5, episodes 1, 2, 3, on Hulu. New episode released weekly. So funny.

See You in My 19th Life, season 1, episode 10 of 12, on Netflix. New episode released weekly.

Star Trek: Picard, season 3, episode 10 (final episode) on Paramount.

Mostly binging watching Murder, She Wrote, seasons 3, episode 18, on Peacock. I know it is the logistics of the time, but there where so many older stars on the show, as well as new upcoming actors. I imagine at the time, the older stars were a draw for an older audience who knew who they were when they were younger. Many had their own shows in the fifties and sixties.
Sometimes, they have really good character actors. Sometimes have actors who know how to read and recite a script. I hate saying stuff like that, but when one has a really good/great character actor next to a less experienced actor, it really stands out. Season 2, episode 17 is filled with great character acting. Jerry Orbach can carry the show. Karen Black is in the episode, and though she not in a lot of scenes, she plays a pretty good paranoid person. Episode 18 has actors who know how to read and recite. Maybe it's the script. Still, J.B. Fletcher is always polite and knows just the right thing to say. I'm jealous.
I use the show as background entertainment while writing or playing World of Warcraft or recently, Diablo IV. One thing that I noticed is the first episode Jessica has just released her first book. By the second and third episode, people saying "I've read all of your books." That's plural. By season 2, one gets the impression she's written a dozen books or more.
She always so nice and polite.

(It does not need to adhere to the logic of reality. Like Mystery Science Theater 3000 -
"If you're wondering how he eats and breathes
and other science facts,
Then repeat to yourself, "It's just a show,
I should really just relax..."
).

Des (2020)

A three part mini-series about the serial killer Dennis (Des) Nilsen. He was in many ways the British equivalent of Jeffrey Dahmer - both of them preyed on rootless young men and both were active during the 1980s.

I've been fascinated by the Nilsen case for decades, and especially since reading Brian Masters's book on him ('Killing For Company') about 25 years ago. This drama actually features Masters as one of the key characters, along with Detective Inspector Peter Jay (who arrested Nilsen and investigated his activities) and Nilsen himself of course.

I watched the final episode of Des, the three-part drama about British serial killer Dennis Nilsen. Not bad, but it suffered somewhat by concentrating solely on the police investigation of the case and Nilsen's trial. The actual murders were not featured at all - maybe there were reasons for this, ie to spare the feelings of the many relatives of the deceased who are still alive, but I think this may have been a misjudgment.

Nilsen is played by David Tennant, a fellow Scotsman who was apparently a recent 'Dr Who', though I've never seen him in that role.

I haven't seen Tenant in a bad role , he was a good Dr (not the best as Tom Baker is my Dr) .

Someone close to me had a family member murdered (and other things :pale: ) by Nilsen 8O

Last night I finished watching my way through Doctor Who, season 9 [1972].

Starts with Daleks learning how to do time travel.

The whole season is...um...competent? Nothing spectacular but perfectly good classic Dr. Who.
