Haven't had time to post for a while, but I'm enjoying the replies.

I've been listening to Reggae lately, and for nearly a week I had this song called "Hill and Gully" stuck in my head. It's not a bad song, but VERY repetitive. It was driving me crazy because even listening to other catchy songs was not driving it out. (Aside: this seems to happen more often when I'm very busy, as I have been recently.)

But now, mercifully, I have Bob Marley's "Night Shift" instead:

I've got a nice one again. This is actually one of the calming songs I have programmed, as it were, to automatically replace a song that is frustrating me. That is to say, I've made a point of it to learn the songs in question so well and made it such a habit to start thinking of certain songs at such times that it's as if I had a computer programmed to do so. It's been one of my calming songs for somewhere around 18 years, so it makes sense that it should be so natural. Kinda makes me wonder what song was bugging me if this is the one I'm thinking of now...

I didn't even realise that I was humming until I saw the title of this thread. I'm always humming but it still strikes me as funny that I can hum and not notice. Anyway, the following song is in my head currently. The part at 0:49, when the chorus starts, that line (the title of the song) sticks in my head all the time because I like the sound of the word "töten" in combination with the melody of the rest of the phrase. I don't know, I'm just weird.
