ah ok. I think Cartman plays against the others so well it's uncanny.

I don't have cable so I haven't seen SP in years, but they show reruns where I am at on one of the networks. The episode where Cartman feeds chili to Scott (something) made out of that kid's parents cracks me up repeatedly. Not sure why.

FG hasn't been funny since Brian became a mouthpiece for Seth McFarlane's political beliefs. And the randomness is OK but it gets really old. Did like their Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back episodes, though.

It was Scott Tenorman, and yes, that was a very funny episode.

I love Family guy :D Stewie is also my favorite
I like South Park too, I like Cartman

One of my favorite family guy episodes is where peter makes up a fat guy convention. I also like when Stewie sees himself in the future.

I think the reason I like Family Guy so much is that the narrative style of the show parallels my way of thinking. Quick flashes of images linked by free association, drawing intertextual connections between hitherto unconnected media - humor based on having an immense mental reservoir of cultural references accessed through novel linkages...watching Family Guy is like a journey inside my thought process.

family guy isn't as good as it used to be, though it isn't as bad as the first season

Well, I think that South Park, offensive and sick as it can be, has more heart and more of an actual message than Family Guy. Family Guy has a good formula, the runaway gags are undoubtedly the best part of the show. But a lot of the newer episodes are just cynical and the jokes are too low even for them. And I loved how Quagmire told Brian off, he deserved it, I know it's just a cartoon, but Brian had been pissing me off for the last few seasons.
I used to loved Brian, but now, he's just a hypocritical overblown liberal jerk.
And I used to love Stewie, but he's not evil anymore,he's just a little John Waters.

With South Park I have my nitpicks with too, but I'd pick it over Family Guy any day.
