I thought you were getting into Chaucer's Canterbury Tales for a minute, but he'd never have written about milk tankers. Must be one of these modern dummied-down remakes.

The cartoon coming-of-age show Big Mouth has a character that is autistic. His name is Kaleb, and he is hilarious. I love every time he contributes. The episode I saw last night had him recording everything on video. One of the characters got busted with something they were hiding (I don't remember what at this moment) and another said, "...And we got it on tape!" Kaleb, who is operating the camera, corrects them by saying that it's on a memory stick lmaoooo.

I have totally done than, so it's funny for me to see it from someone else's perspective to understand why they would find that odd.

Is "Soldier" the one where a warrior from the future turns up in the 1960s?

Will Trent
from April 29, 2025

Season 3, episode 16 - Push, Jump, Fall
Great episode.

Abbott Elementary
I'm so far behind... 8O
Season 4
episode 18 - Audit

Quote:
Ava and the teachers must band together to hide the golf-course contraband.

Long story short. Ava took the blame and is fired. 8O The surprise face is because Ava was selfless.
I saw this on a commercial ages ago. The show is from March 19, 2025.

episode 19 - Music Class
Quote:
Barbara and Gregory are in over their heads when they find themselves in new roles at Abbott Elementary.

episode 20 - Ava Fest: Tokyo Drift
Quote:
The Abbott teachers turn their open house into a car wash to help raise money for the school.

episode 21 - Rally
Quote:
Ava and the Abbott teachers go to the district to plead for Ava's job back; Gregory handles duties as interim principal.

episode 22 - Please Touch Museum
Quote:
Abbott Elementary goes on a schoolwide field trip to the Please Touch Museum, which has some of the older kids skeptical.

All quotes are from the IMDB.

I enjoyed that one when I saw it in the 60s. The soldier was prattling on unintelligibly and they tried to figure out what the hell his language was, till they twigged it was English only much faster than 60s English. If I remember right, his serial number ended in DNDO.

I watched the first episode of The Four Seasons on Netflix. I'd read good reviews but I found it a drag. I've got nothing against middle-class characters or bubble shows about their problems but these characters seemed smarmy and uninteresting and for a comedy they seemed to have forgotten to put any jokes in it.

Still ploughing along with "Vera." Part-way through the last episode now, and looking forward to starting the last season of The Bridge (original Swedish version). Vera gets on my nerves more every time. Scandinavian cops are much more respectful. I wonder if that reflects real life, in which case, why is there a difference?

A memory like that must've been handy in school.

Wow, at least 75% correct after only hearing it once (or however many times he said it) 62 years ago! More than 75% if you count phonetically-similar syllables.

It would have been handy if only it didn't restrict itself so much to things I was naturally interested in, like my attention does. Sci-fi interested me a lot more than long division. But kids in general do have amazing powers of memory, maybe because they're more interested in what they see and here than adults typically are.
