Avatar - definitely $300,000,000 worth of CGI, special effects, and blending. Storyline - meh, they'll have a truly revolutionary movie with this technology when they can scrap the japanimae plots.

Funny you say japanime plot, someone on an anime site I go on thought there it was simular, though most of the anime veterins shook off as a bit simular but not really. I probably can only think of two plots with simularities (both miyazaki), and none being near the sci fi.

District 9, an awesome movie loved every minute of it.

Also a handful of older movies like Predator 2 and Seven.

I saw it today in 3D finally. It's Dances With Wolves in outer space.

Also recently saw at the pictures Invictus, The Lovely Bones and Sherlock Holmes.

For me the most recent and most close to home movie was called simply: Adam.
It's about a guy with Aspergers! Finally an aspergian who is more like me. Although i'm a little more controlled than he is! It was extremely well done! I'd sugest this movie to anyone else with Aspergers.
Mostly though i've been watching a Korean TV series called Iris.. Now that's a topnotch thrill ride! 8)

The last movie I saw in the theatre was Avatar. I saw it in 3D and it was very good. The last movie I saw on the television was Lucky # Slevin, which was on DVD. That movie is good too.

I saw "Charlie and Boots", I think it was a great aussie film, with a bunch of nice ausie scenery, especialy hit cords with me as I have traveled around Australia and it was good to watch and think I recognised places.

I just got back from Daybreakers.

A bit weird, very bloody, social commentary, and a slow-mo scene at the end that pretty much everyone laughed at. Movie felt a bit incomplete though.
Good overall.

Edit: I meant Daybreakers, not Daywalkers. My brain was almost out it late last night.
