I've just tuned into a documentary on the BBC iPlayer

It's called Rain In My Heart

It's following the lives a number of alcoholics in Gillingham Kent (UK)

I can't figure out when it was made but the smoking area of the hospital is absolutely filthy
Honestly, it's flipping jaw dropping

I should put EastEnders on now to balance it out with something a bit more lightheaded

Instead I put Dune on

King of the Hill
s14, e10 - A Sounder Investment

High Potential
s2, e2 - Checkmate

HPI - Haut Potentiel Intellectuel
s3, e1 - Symétrie radiale
s3, e2 - 18 carats
It was weird that this episode involved Huntington's Disease.
I also was thinking Detective Karadec's beard looked very short and dense. It caught my attention. Episode 3 starts with him trimming his beard with an electric trimmer. He girlfriend surprises him that she did not know HPI Morgane Alvaro has returned to her police job. Yep. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt. He absentmindedly (wow. that's a word, and I spelled it correctly?) "trims" straight down his left cheek. Classic slapstick.

Yeah I was thinking about then because it seemed modern but without the technology that we have now

Anyway I'm watching EastEnders from 2019
Rainie Cross is fantastic and she is easily one of my favourite characters ever

Mystery Science Theater 3000

Series 1, episode 9 - Project Moonbase

Wikipedia wrote:
In a futuristic version of 1970, a group of astronauts working for the U.S. space program plans the first crewed flight around the moon, but they are infiltrated by a Communist spy who inadvertently causes the team to become stranded on the Moon.
In the shorts, Commando Cody fights gangsters who have acquired another atomic ray, and eventually returns to the moon in an attempt to sabotage moon-dwelling enemies.

The movie was made in 1953. 1970 seemed so long away. The landing on the moon was a bit earlier, whereas a female president is still not in the cards.

The episode was dedicated to the memory of Alan Hale Jr. He died January 2, 1990. The show aired January 6, 1990 on The Comedy Channel.

Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense (1984)

An episode called 'Czech Mate'.

This series was apparently known as 'Fox Mystery Theater' in the USA.

Don't know quite what to make of this 'Hammer' thing. The last Hammer films were made in the late 1970s, and I've always assumed that the company was wound up thereafter. However, a series called 'Hammer House of Horror' was made in 1980, and then we had this other series in 1984. I suspect they were just opportunists licensing the Hammer brand, but who knows what exactly the legal situation was?

Anyway, this episode features Susan George stranded behind the Iron Curtain in Prague, in a nightmare situation which just gets worse and worse. Grim stuff, very complicated and probably overlong as well, but worth a look.

I started watching The Leftovers

I'm enjoying it.
Id reckoned it if you're into nihilism because it's really nihilistic

HPI Haut Potentiel Intellectuel

I finished series 4 on Hulu. It was so enjoyable. It could make me aggravated at times, but it was so enjoyable. I hated to see it end.
"What's that IMDB? There is a series 5? It's just not on Hulu? Cool." I hope the Hulu question ultimately ends with "yet?"

I looked this up on IMDB and saw the description was -
The Leftovers - IMDB description wrote:
Three years after the disappearance of 2% of the global human population, a group of people in a small New York community try to continue their lives while coping with the tragedy of the unexplained nature of the event.

My first thought was, "Okay, the rapture was suppose to happen on September 23-24, 2025. What a coincidence."
I won't say anything rude about people that question the two dates in monologues and the news. I'll just say there is a point in the day where it is the 23rd where I live, and yet it is the 24th in Australia because the world it spherical and the time zones encircle the global. I only know/am aware of this because I watch Formula One racing and it happens all over the world. So race day (always a Sunday) might be Saturday where I live. :)

Twenty-eight episodes isn't too bad. I hope it has a solid ending and wasn't canceled before a resolution could be reached. :)

Gasp! Christopher Eccleston is in it.

*moments later*
I think I started watching this back when it was on. Or at least I've seen episode one.

I'm enjoying it
I don't think it's for everyone and it's a bit of a slow burn as well but it is very well acted and written
