it's because you didn't read the comics and you are talking about something you know NOTHING about. for us true batman fans (not you), batman & robin sucked, and george clooney and everyone else in batman & robin sucked. you have NO idea what batman is about. just because you watched TAS doesn't mean you know everything about batman. batman movies aren't supposed to be all about entertainment, they are supposed to be about batman. I agree the Nolan films are overrated, and so is TAS, but for someone who knows NOTHING about batman, and say what they think batman should be, is just wrong. seriously, you couldn't follow the plot of dark knight? it was actually pretty easy to follow. you are seriously talking out of your @$$, and i really don't like it.

I'm sorry, but irrespective of how accurate either were to the source material, "Batman and Robin" was just an objectively terrible film, and liking it over a film like "The Dark Knight" (which at least had competant direction, art direction, costume design, special effects, and acting, even if you don't like the route Nolan took with the franchise) just portrays a fundamental lack of understanding and appreciation of the craft.

Fine then I don't appreicate the serious aspect of batman. I guess I just like the comedy and camp aspect of batman.

Is it that hard to comprehend that possibly the serious side of batman is just dull? Nolan has done a great job of that making it all serious with no humour or charm.

It's not that big a deal if you didn't like The Dark Knight, but to actually say that a cinematic abortion like "Batman & Robin" was better is just... madness to the nth degree.

Is it a crime that Batman and Robin held my attention span for longer than the Dark Knight?

I am not trolling I am stating my opinons and what I see. Big deal?

Actually Burton's first Batman film was a very faithful rendition of the original Batman comics in stylistic look and approach to the character. If you'll notice, in the newsroom when one of the guys shows a hand drawn cartoon of what they think the Bat Man looks like - a Bat dressed up in a pinstriped suit - the signature on the cartoon is Bob Kane's, the guy who created Batman. If he hadn't approved of Burton's vision for the character, he would never have contributed original artwork for use as a prop in the movie.

But I mean come on...you can't populate a character's world with bad guys who dress up as clowns and penguins and say there can never be any humor in it, ever.

Actually Bob kane didn't create batman, it was bill finger.
