Seasons of fear: You know Charley, I've gone through the whole situation without saying 'Horns of the Dilemma' or 'Holy Cow'!

(god bless you Paul Cornell, I salute you)

Is that a quote from the Big Finish story with the Nimon?

Have you ever wondered what happens when you put two sonic devices next to each over?

No!

Me neither, so let's find out.

From Series 4 Episode 1.

I just listened to the first 20 minutes or so of The Davros Mission, an audio adventure in the 8-Disc Davros Boxset, and it's funny. Two slaves of the Daleks see Davros go by. They're mollusc aliens who help maintain the Dalek chemical fuel supply, and they see Davros being forcibly escorted by a pair of Daleks, and one comments that Davros looks horrible. The other comments that, being the creator of the Daleks, he isn't going to be a supermodel!

William Hartnell seems sadly under-represented here so I'll suggest;

His famous Susan Departure speech - and closing the door on her...

Other cool lines in Daleks Invasion Earth - "hmmm - I can see that somethings cooking"

and

any scenes where he flubs the line and calls the Fault Locater, the fornicator.

"Susan, go and look at the fornicator"

I already put his Susan departure speech in.

And then, there's the sequence where he seems to be flubbing his lines about his ring in The Web Planet, with William 'Ian Chesterton' Russel looking meaningfully at Hartnell and the ring, before Hartnell settles for 'This is not merely a decorative object'. *Facepalm.*

Actually, it wasn't his ring; it was a small cubic device. But you are right though, he proceeds like the whole scene made sense. A real trooper. :P

And I recall what the scripted final words of Hartnell's goodbye speech to Susan were:

"Go forward in all your beliefs....and always remember that love is the most precious jewel of all. Goodbye, Susan....make me proud of the world you and David create." *dematerializes*

Much better, imho.

Actually I think William Hartnell's "go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine" is actually closer to his Doctor's character.

In Australia Angus and Robertson have the audio tapes for $10 and I've been buying lots. So I've been listening to them on the blackberry on the bus.

I just finished the 12 part Daleks Masterplan on the bus.... Note, I'm deaf so I have to have it loud. I wonder how my fellow passengers felt.

I recently finished listening to The Juggernauts, a Davros Big Finish story with the Sixth Doctor and Mel (who gets to have a dark side to her in this story).

I know I'm gonna get chewed out for this but when I saw that poster I thought the guy on the right was Will Ferrell for a second.

Will Ferrell, after being trapped in a collapsing roof during a nuclear bombardment, ressurected using a life support system and subjected to death rays, cryogenic freezing, and a deadly virus in the meantime.

"He's speaking Celtic"

From Series 4, Episode 2

I like the way the Doctor tricks the child genius into getting him to reveal the Sontarans.

Juggernauts is great, I really enjoyed it, especially how well the characterised Davros. Terry Molloy's characterisation has come far from the early rantings of 'Resurrection...'

And yes, my quote is indeed from one of the big finish audios. I'm very glad that you've started listening to them. Got any recommendations?

Revelation of the Daleks is also pretty close to a good interpretation of Davros. And in Terror Firma, you actually start to feel pity for Davros as he goes completely mad.

I've only listened to (thus far) Terror Firma and The Juggernauts. I recommend both.

Well, I won't argue with you there. :P

And welcome back, aniki! (that means a friend close as a brother in Japanese) *hugs* I've missed you!

(Didn't have time to read through all of them, so I don't know if these were already mentioned)

Jack Harkness: "Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks 'hmm, that could be a bit more sonic'?"

The Doctor: "Don't blink. Blink and you're dead."

The Doctor (explaining a perception filter to Martha):
It's like when you fancy someone and they don't even know you exist!

The Doctor: (repeated line) Allons-y!

(Repeated line) "Doctor Who?"

Cliffhanger at the end of part 2 of "Attack of the Cybermen":

CYBERLEADER: "Destroy her! Destroy her AT ONCE!"

PERI: "No, no, NOOOOO!! !"

ME: "Yes, yes, YES!! !"

Too bad they didn't actually kill her. :( I couldn't stand Peri.
