What did you think of it? My family and I watched Deadpool and we were laughing almost non-stop! The movie proved that an R-rated comic book movie can be made if it is done the right way.

Was that the one with Alec Guinness as Marcus Aurelius?

the queen of katwe - kind of slow, but what can you expect from a movie about chess? ultimately uplifting.

The Nightmare.

Scary documentary about sleep paralysis, involving visions of monstrous hags and worse attacking individuals trapped between sleep and wakefulness. Examines both the scientific explanations of the west, and the very real fear felt by those sufferers in the third world who see it as all too real. The documentary maker had had personal experience with this phenomenon.

Free State Of Jones.

I have already written a post about this movie when I first saw it in the theater, but it's so good that I had to see it again on DVD. True story of Newton Knight, Confederate army deserter who formed a guerilla army consisting of other deserters and escaped slaves, who carried on non-stop warfare against the south during the Civil War. After the war, he practised what he preached by taking part in Radical Reconstruction by promoting the rights and safety of freed blacks, and fighting racism, and even raising a family with a young black lady named Rachel, who had fought with him against the Confederacy. First rate movie.
