Cry_Wolf.

After a local girl is murdered in the woods, rich kids at the local prep school decide to create an internet hoax, sending emails in which they claim to be a serial killer who is going to strike the school on Halloween. But then, someone unseen starts harassing the pranksters with vandalism and threats, making them wonder if the girl's killer was aware of what they had done, all the while becoming suspicious of one another. The truth is not what it seems. Jon Bon Jovi plays the popular teacher on campus (yes, that Jon Bon Jovi). A rather inventive psychological horror film that manages to scare without a lot of gore.

Warcraft

I'm not a gamer, but the movie was entertaining enough, with cool CG and a well-composed score, but the acting wasn't great, some of the dialogue I thought {for a fantasy movie like Warcraft} was weird and out-of-place. The movie was also too similar to The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, so to me, Warcraft was just a movie made for fans of the video games, therefore a "so-so" movie.

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them

I saw it twice.

I'd like to say that it has been awhile since I've visited Wrong Planet, and it is nice to see some the same names. If you'be been posting in this forum under television and movies for the last three years, then I mean you. The stability is nice.

I also saw an interesting, weird, and funny film last week named Static (1985). It was on Comet TV, and is near impossible to find. I think that is because it was the director's first film and he has sort of disowned it. It is about a guy that makes an invention that tunes into the frequency of heaven, allow one to watch it on television.

AnonymousAnonymous, I was interested in your comments. I wondered how people that don't play World of Warcraft viewed the film. The king was played by the same actor that plays Tony Stark's dad in Captain America.

Many have said that even though Duncan Jones {who directed Warcraft} did a great job directing his two previous films {Moon and Source Code}, Universal should have hired a director with more experience.

At one point, Universal wanted Sam Raimi to direct and I'm glad Universal didn't hire that hack Uwe Boll to direct the movie. Here's hoping the Assassin's Creed movie gets better reviews, but if Assassin's Creed flops and isn't received well, I don't think a Halo movie will happen.
