I saw him play during the Odelay tour here locally, and I've seen him interviewed on some TV shows. He seemed a bit nervous in the crowds after the concert when I got him to autograph my CD. He seems to also dress in typical aspie type clothing, mixing things like a a suit coat with a T-shirt, or wearing a pullover fleece. His hair, typically long and unkempt. Still, he's got some very interesting music and is very unique and creative. Check out this article about his latest album.

Beck also is a really good dancer. Did he do the splits when you saw him live?

I don't see why anything or all the things you listed should have to equate AS. I not a fan, so that may be my subjective take. Then again, this may be your subjective take on him as a fan. I feel no personal need for Beck to be AS, yet for you, a fan, it'd make him more accessible to you. So in short, you have a stronger dedsire to make these trtaits out as evidence for AS than I do. So hey, whatever.

i doubt that Beck has AS. I think that he is a creative artist but he also knows what he's doing every step of the way. he might have some social discomforts (being around people too long) but he IS a performer, who has travelled all over the world peddling his art. I like his work a lot, and am a fan. But he doesn't really seem like an aspie to me. but I could be wrong.

performers/actors etc know how to sell themselves

it's part of being a commodity.
