So if I showed this to anyone else they would probably commit me. But I think its cooler than all hell! And something you guys would appreciate.

Did this with a cataloging programing. Interesting to see. About 180ish of 250ish cataloged. Started creating graphs off it and lost interest in cataloging the rest =P. But its cool and weird to see some trends. The lists cut off at 1 for the few I posted, bit too large as is, any smaller and cant read names =/

By Actor - Brad Pitt is the man, but I didnt realize I liked his movies so much =P. This is also a little skewed because I cataloged a few Family Guy Sets so the voice actors are getting a credit for each season, gotta figure how to fix that programming.
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6628/actorc.jpg

By Director - This will probably get real different as I havnt hit director box sets yet =P
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/3937/director.jpg

By Genre - Based off how IMDB categorizes and placed movies.
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/1525/genre.jpg

And by Writer -
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6319/writerv.jpg

Can list it out by a buncha different parameters, year movie was made, producer, studio, cinematographer =P

================
[inline display of large images broken by lau, as no warning was given in the title, plus the remainder of the page is made unreadable for people using browsers that adhere to the definition of HTML 4.01]
++++++++++++++++
Double fixed what the simple nitwit above messed up.

P.S. list of titles intentionally left off for more amusement incase anyone wants to figure out the movies =P.

I'll give huge brownie points to anyone who can guess which 9 movies of Brad Pitt I own ^_^. Based off writer/director you could probably get kinda close, but keep in mind those lists are cut off.

In bold what is right. Close! Now, I actually discovered a glitch. Twelve Monkeys I own, but it for some reason isnt reading the credits, so I actually own 10 Brad Pitt movies. Found a few others for some reason they are not picking up the credits.

So, you are missing 4.
Here are some actors in those 4 movies. In no particular order
Christopher Walken
Minnie Driver
Robert DeNiro
David Duchovny
Gabriel Byrne

And I wanna see pics of these other collections! I woulda been pushing 400ish but a few years back I got annoyed at my collection, just so much crap that I bought on it's release days, or just on impulse so I cleaned house and grabbed literally anything I'd seen once or hadnt seen yet and sold em on ebay. Cleared out about a 150 or so. Now everything I own I bought because I would want to watch it more than once. There are a few impulse buys that turned out to be garbage. I've bought a few bad Blu-Ray movies, that I knew would probably stink, but just cause I wanted some good special effects/actions to watch on my TV in high def.

willa, can you please shrink your statistical graphs? You're not allowed to have any pictures that disrupt the formatting of the WP threads.

Doesnt disrupt the layout for me one bit. You must be using a stinky browser, solution, uninstall IE, download Firefox or Chrome.

I have OCD... I have to collect them. :P

Sadly I don't have any pictures of my DVD collection. Shortly before we moved to a bigger house (to accommodate the collection), I removed most of them from their plastic covers and put them in those suitcase things. I've thrown out all the plastic covers but I still have all the paper inserts.

I've got all the covers (front and back) scanned into my database anyway, so I can browse whenever I feel like it.

Right now, my collection stands at 2155 and averages about 200 additions per year (though I'm running out of things to buy).

I don't have a problem with popcorn flicks... I just know that you have to be in the right mood to watch them.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. The posting specifications in the Wrong Planet rules specify, and I quote, 'Ensure that links and pictures in posts fit the page format'. And I would say that the majority of users still use IE. So, change the pictures, please.

Why not use a table, like an SPSS output file, suitably modified?

I like the pretty colors of bar graphs. I did give ample warning as to their size.

You did ask nicely. But, then you quoted a rule that makes no sense. Maybe the rule should be adapted to say "Fits the page format of those people living in the archaic ages and still use IE on super small monitors"

Otherwise, I just cant see how I'm breaking a rule, it doesnt distrupt anything for me. Who are you...really? Who sent you to harass me? Was it Steve? :chin: steve.....

p.s. 129 Views. 1 person having viewing trouble. Your browser must not like CSS, try reinstalling.

BTW Quatermass...

1. I'm not having any trouble but I'm at work on Chrome!! and at 1680x1050. :P

2. There's lots of other threads on WP who do even worse things with pictures but they don't get into trouble about them.
- methinks it's because you find this thread interesting enough to want to look at them.
