Anyone seen this movie yet? I saw it on the weekend, thought it was the best new film I've seen this year so far.

I wanted to watch it but didn't get a chance to. Growing up, I used to visit Adventureland, though I'm not 100% sure that it's the same one that the movie refers to.

I wanted to watch it, but didn't have time, and when I finally had time, it was out of theatres, so now it's on my "to rent" list of movies.

It showed for exactly one day at my local cinema, for two showings. I went to the first, and about 10 people showed up. Apparently the film had pretty weak marketing.

the one on LI? I used to go there about every weekend. If thats not the same one than forget what I just said...

Yup...I think it's in Farmingdale, maybe I'm wrong. But the big talking tree made me cry when I was little.

I thought it was Amityville...oh well. Did you grow up in Nassau County too? haha I used to be afraid of the haunted house

I could be wrong, my memory isn't that great. And yes, I grew up in Nassau. My cousin used to live in Amityville, but I never really thought about the supposedly haunted house that much. I have seen the original movie, though.

Oh...I don't remember that. All I remember are the talking tree, the petting zoo, and the rollercoaster that just went in a circle but scared me anyway.

talking tree? Only talking tree I know of was at FAO Schwartz

Maybe I'm the one with the faulty memory. Around christmas time though there was a giant tree there that talked...I think. This was about 12 years ago though. Its gone now(I went to FAO a few months ago)
