Anybody a fan of thriller/action movies like me? I start you off. Leon is a good example, I've recently seen it and thought it was brilliant. Discuss.

Depends on the movie. Some or just terrible. And not in a good way.

I enjoy some of those Chinese Kung Fu movies. Both the low and high budget ones.
They're often pretty similar.

Not just for the comedic aspects either. Some of them are very thought provoking.

High budget productions like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon are a lot like some of the cheaper movies.

And they can often be pretty weird. I don't mean just because it's another culture, some of those movies they have to be trying to be absolutely insane.

But yeah, I'm more a fan of the action movies that make you think and/or laugh. (Big Beefy chauvanist pig shoots stuff and claims moral superiority doesn't really apeal to me.)

I like some action films, usually the fantasy, sci-fi, superhero, or martial arts ones. "The Matrix" is one of my two uttermost favorite films of all time. "Underworld," "Kung Fu Hustle," "Unleashed," "Spider-Man 2," the "X-Men" films, and "Hulk" are all some of my favorite films, though those aren't strictly action movies. I also really liked (but didn't totally love) "House of Flying Daggers," "Hero," etc. I really hate some action movies though. I don't like gratuitus, badly-done violence.

I like the Bond films, some superhero films, and the old version of Scarface is my favourite film all time, although that is for its values.

Action films was my favorite genre in my early teens. Alot of the films I saw back then and thought were cool (like um..."Con Air") I find unwatchable today. There are still some I like though. The Die Hard trilogy, Face/Off, The Rock (I can't stand Michael Bay films other then this one), um...that's all I can think of. I like Bond films, but they are more "adventure films." Oh, I liked Kill Bill Vol. 1, not so much Vol 2.

Steven Seagal ...

Yes, I watch lots of action films. I'm not really into a lot of comic book type stuff and superhero type stuff, opting for movies with a lot of car chases ... Bad Boys II, for example.

I like most Bond movies. I like most martial arts movies. Some Jackie Chan, if it's not overdone comedy.
