Anyone else like the Sonic cartoons from the early nineties? I recently bought the whole series on DVD.

I know the show is old, and the DVD set is brand new, but no, I haven't bought it.

Hahah! I remember watching this show. Sonic the Hedgehog games and the show will always have a special place on my shelf.

Slightly off-topic: Sonic 2 is the "Deal of the Week" on XBOX right now. Something like $3.00.

I used to be obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog. I collected the comics, watched both Sonic the Hedgehog and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and collected Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D (unfortunately it stopped working), Sonic 1, 2, and 3, and Sonic and Knuckles on my Sega Genesis. Also, I have Sonic Rivals 1 and 2 on my PSP.
However, I must say that I enjoyed the videogames much more than the comics or TV series.

Oh, I LOVED that series when it aired on ABC! Too bad it only lasted 2 season...f--king Power Rangers, grrr... :x

But anyway, yes...I was what inspired me to keep on buying every single issue of the Archie Comics faithfully up to #200 (well, maybe only 4 missing numbers).

Maybe I should buy the box set and relive some of those great moments of my youth. ^_^

I remember the Sonic cartoons.

I liked the one that had Tails in it.

I saw the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and althow it took a few tries before I could tolerate the voice acting, I think its a pretty good movie.

From what I can remember it was as bad as "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show".

Nothing could be as bad as that!

I have the DVDs of sonic too and they make me feel happy and nostalgic! I also have all the old Sonic games on my Sega Megadrive II (all working amazingly).

Oh, I used to watch that in the mornings on Pop! It is quite awesome in a mid nineties sort of way, as were the old Mario cartoons (but they were cheesy as hell regardless)

I really do have a soft spot for these old game to TV adaptations, no matter the quality.
