Anyone else hear about how George Lucas had had a tizzy fit over Amy Schummer's sexy but funny Star Wars pics in GQ? Even Mark Hamill thought the photos were funny. Sure, Lucas said he was mostly offended because they hadn't gotten the rights to use Star Wars imagery, but if that's the hard and fast rule, then a comedy show like S&L would run the risk of drawing his ire for airing a skit about the Sci-Fi series.
By the way, I think Schummer is hot.

No, Yahoo News, actually.

I'm not interested in anything George Lucas has to say unless it's something like this: "I'd like to apologize for spending the past 17 years destroying film history by chopping up and defiling three of the most iconic films ever made and forcing these bastardized versions on the public without making the original versions available, and also for further defiling their legacy and the legacy of another iconic film series with sequels and prequels that are some of the most stunningly awful films ever made. In an attempt to make up for this, I have authorized Disney to release the original and uncut verions of the original Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray, and the master copies of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be thrown into the nearest volcano."

George Lucas is a duck? Why would he be a duck?

Well, if there's one saving grace of the prequels, it's Palpatine! As Red Letter Media describes him, he loves what he does and he has a goal he's working toward obtaining! It's kinda funny how those are positive points.

I can't argue with that. In addition, my DVD copy of THX 1138 is ruined by some shoddy new CGI. Has he released a copy of that film without the, erm, "improvements"? If not, add that to his "to do" list.

Sorry, but I have not found anything that says George is upset with the photos, which seem to more directed at Carrie Fisher from that period of her life than Star Wars itself. I have seen that "Disney and LucasFilm" were not amused, but from what I read, LucasFilm (aka the lawyers) has in the past without humor, to Mad magazine spoofs for instance, only to find the George himself thought it was funny, and had written to the editors saying as much.

I'm wondering if Yahoo is just trying stirring up readers? The web magazine/blog/whatever has a nice piece about it. The GQ website has the photos and an article as well.

Amy Schumer cracks me up though.

Just kill off Jar-Jar Binks in Episode 7 and all will be forgiven.
