The Walking Dead is being turned into a TV show

Oh hell yes.

Anyone else excited for this? I'm a big fan of the comic series, so I think this is great. I had been thinking that the only way anyone could pull off a zombie series on TV is if it aired on a channel like Showtime or HBO, but AMC's probably the best possible basic-cable station to do it. A channel like FX might be able to get away with more graphic content, but AMC's tendency to air the censored version while releasing it uncensored on DVD/Blu-Ray should work just fine.

I heard about this from the horse's mouth when Kirkman wrote about it in the letters page of The Walking Dead. If it's half as good as the original comic book, it ought to be amazing.
