They can be from either television, film, or literature; it's just that I couldn't decide where to put this topic before finally putting it here. They can also be antagonistic characters.

Anyway, one villain I really hate is the White Witch from the 2005 movie The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She was so sadistic, so pompous; I wanted to kill her so bad. Good thing she did get killed, but I still hated her! :x

I also strongly disliked one the antagonists, Chris Hargensen, from the 1976 movie Carrie. She was the one who dumped the bucket of pig's blood on Carrie at the prom. She was such a whiny little b***h. I wanted someone to beat the everloving f**k out of her just for being such a b***h.

How about you?

The villain that mostly comes to mind is Gauron from Full Metal Panic, he is a complete psychopath that would kill anyone, including his own allys without a second thought, he also has a tendency to survive, surviving being snipered in the head. This does not begin to describe how awefull his personality is, I will just say that he is the type of person that would laugh at dead baby jokes. A character called Gates was kind of like a replacement, except less evil and more nuttier, kills own people more and apparently masterbates to videos of kittens.

Scar from Lion King. My 7 year old self will never ever forgive him for killing Mufasa :(

Seriously though, I'm weird as I always get strangely attracted to the villains. I can usually empathise with them for some reason.

They generally have sad background stories which made them the way they are.

Steele from the movie Balto. In my honest opinion, he had virtually no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Maybe it's because I subconsciously associated Steele with the bullies at my school, because he was a terrible bully towards Balto, the character with whom I identified.

i don't get into fictions that much, so i guess i have no real fictional villians i hate. i felt sorry for the wicked witch of the west only because i felt sorry for the actress who played her, IOW her real life story.
now there are certain REAL LIFE villians i wish to holy hell were FICTIONAL. the list is far too long to include here, but one name stands out - ann coulter. i would love to put her through the transmogrifying laser transmutation machine and have her end up as a stock villian in "the west wing" tv program, to stay for eternity.

Draco and Lucius Malfoy, from the Harry Potter movies. They remind me of so many junior high school experiences. I hate them.

Many villains I like, especially if they're well-written, even despite their deeds, but if you are talking about ones that I really, really detest because they make me want to murder them, well... (and this also include characters that I detest and consider villains in their own right)

*Gendo Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

*James Taggart and John Galt from Atlas Shrugged (I consider Galt to be a villain who is only a hero because his enemies are worse).

*Ark Sool from the Artemis Fowl novels.

*Bishop Anthony Lilliman from both versions of V for Vendetta.

*Vorbis from the Discworld novel Small Gods.

*Glossu 'the Beast' Rabban from Dune.

*Tulkinghorn, Smallweed, and Skimpole (especially Skimpole) from Bleak House.

*Villefort, Danglars, and Mondego from The Count of Monte Cristo (Caderousse was just an idiot).

*Livia and Caligula from I, Claudius (I know they were real people, but roll with me here).

*Dev Tarrant, Alta Morag, Raiker, Vargus, the Altas, Largo, the Kommissar, the Chengans, Ginka, Piri and Zukan from Blake's 7.

*Vayne Solidor and the Occuria from Final Fantasy XII.

*Tlotoxl, The Earl of Leicester, Cyril, Solicitor Grey, Maxtible, Benik, Packer, the War Chief, Major Baker, General Carrington, Stahlmann, Horatio Chinn, Colonel Trenchard, Hepesh, Arcturus, The Marshall, General Williams, General Finch, Azaxyr, Eckersley, Miss Winters, Salamar, Count Federico, Taren Capel, Lord Palmerdale, Stael, Kelner, Thrawn, the Marshall of Atrios, Lady Adrasta, Karela, Professor Tryst, Dymond, Soldeed, the Skonnon co-pilot, Pangolin, Rorvik, Kassia, Hindle, Dukkha, the Castellan, Maxil, Nilson, Sir George Hutchinson, Stotz, Mestor, the Chief Officer, Quilliam, Arak, Sil, Maylin Tekker, Doland, the Chief Caretaker, Tilda, Kroagnon, Gavrok, Ratcliffe, Helen A, Herr de Flores, the Chief Clown, Mordred, Josiah Smith, Commander Millington, the Gelth, Joseph 'Jocrassa Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen' Green, Henry von Statten, Eddie Connolly, Chloe's father, Yvonne Hartman, the Family of Blood, Max Capricorn, Rickston Slade, Lucius Petrus Dextrus, Mr Halpern, Commander Kess, Cobb, the Midnight Creature, Miss Hartigan, and Rassilon from Doctor Who (whew! Notice how most of these are human characters?).

I'll add more later...

Anytime the villain is some brawny military type who won't listen to the scientist/academic.

For example, I most recently detested that military commander in Avatar.

Quaritch was an a-hole, to be sure, but although he wasn't a villain, sometimes the Brigadier from Doctor Who would cause trouble in clashing with the Doctor's scientific and moral outlook in a similar manner. And when you think about it, the events of Doctor Who and the Silurians have a superficial similarity to Avatar...if there was no romance and instead of Pandora, it was set on Earth...

Voldemort I despise because he was such a let down as a villain. Four books he's built as this horrible super evil genius.. and spends the next three doing completely inane and moronic things.

The freakiest and scariest though has to be Ungoliant from the Silmarillion - a giant spider who eats everything in sight and then eats herself when there's nothing left.. the epitome of evil in my opinion.

well. I usually dont hate antagonists much (I dont empathize with them for the most part either). So here is my list of them.

Joffrey Baratheon/Viserys Targaeryn - George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice an Fire (Still waiting on books 5 and onwards, and hoping the HBO series gets picked up and is actually good.)
Ali Al-Saachez/Ribbons Almark - Gundam 00 (Both remind me of some myself sadly, the myself I hate and Despise. And they are both really really well-done villains.)
The Malfoys - Harry Potter series
Jar Jar Binks (He is only here because his annoyingness is antagonistic to me, that and the fact he voted for Palpatine) - Star Wars
Death Claws - Fallout 3 (Heard some of the enemys from The Pitt DLC are bad too, too bad i dont have any of the DLC :/ )
Barthandelus - Final Fantasy XIII
Seymour Guado/Jecht - Final Fantasy X
Zorn and Thorn - Final Fantasy IX
Golbez - Final Fantasy IV
Grima Wormtongue - Lord of the Rings
the Sons of Feanor (forget which ones specifically I hated) - The Silmarillion
Jack of Blades - Fable: The Lost Chapters

I hate Sophia Lamb with a passion I hate how she talks down to you as you play through.

Plus how she is so high and mighty but can't put up enough courage to do her crazy experiments on herself

I despise Sophia Lanb also, latgely for being a huge hypocrit, she claims that if someone had too much power they are a tyrant, and they are fighting the tyrants, yet she herself is most definetly a tyrant who manipulates her followers. And she would place them all in danger (left to die) just to protect herself. At least Ryan would reflect on things and Fontain admited he was evil, but she claims to be Mary.

At least Ryan didn't start going back on his words until he was being attacked on all sides he was just doing what he thought would protect rapture
