Who watches Maury?

I can't help but laugh at most of the people on there. I think most of the people knew the lie detector and paternity test results in advance, but people wanted to see their partners get humiliated on national television.

I love it when a chick is so certain it is the father and says she has absolutely no doubts and the guy is a complete douche so you believe the girl but then it is like "you are NOT the father!" Then your like OHHHHHHH!! PWNT!! !! !! !! !! ! and she is like horrified and runs out crying lol

that has happened like 2 or 3 times on the show lol

Be careful there, Tex - remember the phrase 'You are what you eat'? Watch too much of that stuff and you'll turn into one of those cabbage heads.

Maury can be entertaining at times. My favorite episodes are the holiday specials where he parades around models and you have to guess whether they are biologically male or female. I haven't seen one of those in awhile; I think they stopped making those kinds of episodes. :(

And the "my baby is obese" episodes are always a riot.

I love watching it. It's great entertainment seeing how stupid some people really act. Though I can never understand how the lie detector tests seem to know the # of people that the person who took the test slept with. "Did you sleep with another woman besides _____? You said no, the lie detector test determined that was a lie. You slept with more than 50 women." How do they know that? 8O

they will ask like "did you sleep with more than 1 woman?" no *FALSE* "did you sleep with more than 5 women? *FALSE* "did you sleep with more than 10? *FALSE* and they keep going until they get a true answer.

I saw and episode about a girl with a phobia of pickles. Amusing, but not great.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen from this show:

My thing is why go on national tv and embarrass yourself with your personal issues. My boyfriend is cheating, my girlfriend is cheating, etc. I'm having an affair with my spouse's sister, etc. I wouldn't want to tell the world my personal issues. Maybe these people get $$$?

Of course they get money - there's a base amount that has to be paid to anyone who appears on camera on a television show (aside from the audience) because it's a Union specification - and the amount goes up if you actually speak while on camera. There have been several exposes uncovering people who make careers out of appearing on these 'reality' based shows, making up a different personal crisis for each one. which shows you that the screening process for determining their legitimacy is extremely lax. I'm convinced the Jerry Springer show actually hires homeless people as actors and coaches them on outrageous things to say. I'm still waiting for BumFights to come out as a daily syndicated program, co-hosted by Colin Quinn and Nick DiPaulo.
