I loved Toothless! So sweet! I saw it the day it came out. I thought it was really good. A lot of films that show in 3D these days are made only for the 3D element but lack storyline. This wasn't one of those films! I thought it was quite hilarious how all the adults have broad Scottish accents yet all the teens have american!

I enjoyed it, and the hero actually made a physical sacrafice in a kids movie, you don't see the protaganist loseing a foot in every kids movie.

Though I was left at the end thinking "yes becuase a bunch of vikeing that were originaly pretty dangerous and tough, are not going to cause a trouble with foreign lands and plunder and slaughter with the help of dragons".

Yes, I have seen How To Train Your Dragon - in IMAX and 3D, while we're at it. The movie was adorable, had good animation, and it had a good story. In my opinion, How To Train Your Dragon is one of the best movies the Dreamworks Animation sect has made.

I thought it was cute, but I was still wondering: If just a few dragons with teenagers on their backs were enough to take down that huge dragon, why hadn't a whole bunch of dragons mobbed the huge dragon before the movie even took place, like in "Bone" by Jeff Smith? Other than that, I really liked it.

No, but want to very bad. Likely will have to wait for the DVD.

Does anyone know a DVD release date?

I loved the movie, the dragons looked awesome... Especially the Monstrous Nightmare and Night Fury (Toothless)

I think he has movements of a Cat, but he has the loyality of a Dog

His personality/"instincts" is like a combination of both animals...

I saw it in IMAX 3-D. I thought it was an excellent movie. I will likely purchase it when it comes out on DVD.

Actually, he reminded me of Stitch from "Lilo and Stitch." Their movements were quite similar. However, now that you mention it, there were moments when Toothless seemed very cat-like.

I also thought it was interesting that they gave the Vikings Scottish accents.

I love books and films about dragons and of all the dragon movies I've seen, this one is the best. Toothless reminded me of the Nargacuga from monster hunter. They're bot the same color, both have feline type movements, and the ears and hair on the Nargacuga's head resembles the tendrils on Toothless's head.
