Looks too "Transformers"-ish to me.

I have never seen Voltron but I know of it. There were 2 Robot Chicken Sketches in which Voltron is break dancing and the vehicle version of Voltron takes a long time to combine. Also I have seen the opening to the cartoon in which I think the narrator is Peter Cullen(Optimus Prime).

I was referring to the artwork, not the cartoon.

Define "Transformers-ish"? How many ways can a giant robot look?

I agree. It looks a little too much like the Transformer movies. I bet people are gonna complain that it's a rip-off too. A real shame, as I'm a fan of the original Voltron cartoon.

That's what I'm worried about.

Compare what the Transformers look like between the original cartoon and the current movies. Then take that difference and apply it to the original Voltron. You would end up pretty much exactly like those design sketches that were posted here. And there are a lot of different ways a 'giant robot' can look.
