To me, the 90's were the last great decade. Not only were kids playing kickball and with Barbies at 11 rather than screwing behind the school cafeteria, but movies were MOVIES.
I didn't see a whole lot of movies compared to everyone else. I watched an average amount, though. Mostly comedy. Comedies were great back then, I don't know what about them it was. They were cheesy yet so great. Even other films were great, even drama-ish ones.
Pop-culture was one thing that was the most decent. In the 90's, every time a movie came out, kids in my class were quoting it. Movies made songs popular in a different way. When Space Jam came out (the one with the Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan), everyone and everywhere were singing "I Believe I Can Fly." Then people were parodying it with "I Believe I Can Die," and sang about getting shot by the F.B.I..
See, that's the beauty of it. People were quoting movies and scenes, NOT the people who made them. The film meant a lot more.
