My love of Bastard Operator From Hell has given me a great respect for jeks who are very good at their jobs. It is one of my favorite shows. The one thing I find weird is that normally I hate predictable shows, and every episode of house is: sick person, misdiagnosis, patient gets worse, misdiagnosis, patient gets worse, house figures it out, patient gets better. But I still love it.

I love the show, but my sister loves it even more, its probably one of the many reasons why she wants to go to medical school. My favorite characters are House & Cuddy.

Gregory House & Dr. James Wilson = Sherlock Holmes & Dr. John Watson

*Warning: Post contains spoilers!*

I hate to love it. House has got to be the biggest jerk I have ever seen and the plot is so predictable, and yet when my parents tune in every week to see his exploits, I can't help but sit down to watch too. I just hate the fact that in recent seasons, his team has broken up. Even though Foreman and Chase eventually came back, it's not the same without Cameron. I also hate how the dynamics of the relationships have changed over time, what with Cameron and Chase having sex, getting married and getting divorced, and House and Cuddy becoming an official item as of the current season. I keep waiting for House to somehow screw up and make Cuddy stop dating him and go back to being just his boss, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm willing to bet it will by the season finale though.

I have always liked it. Yeah so the story lines are predictable and the main character is an {expletetive} but I like that about it. It makes the whole thing different from other shows. I don't watch it any more though because none of the freeview channels seem to be showing episodes past series 4 at the moment...

House is a grumpy drug addicted nut case.

When he is presented with a difficult case he makes a diagnosis and treatment that makes the patient worse.

Then he makes another diagnosis and treatment that almost kills the patient.

Then at the last moment he gets it right and saves their life!

Pity he couldn't have got it right in the first place, but he never does.

Why do I feel like talking about the scene at the end of the second season where House probes Cameron's belly button with a robot arm?

The show is starting to wear thin. Was a great show but time takes its course.

That'd make for bad fiction.

I know every episode of House has a "formulaic" structure, but i love the show! I like Dr House precisely because he breaks rules and he trusts his intuition and dammit he gets results! :D also Hugh Laurie is so damn entertaining as House i can't stop watching! last week Blockbuster had a sale on House DVDs, I bought the first 4 seasons in one sitting & got season 5 for christmas.

I am not a doctor or a medical student (but i did study the history of medicine in high school) I've always liked medical shows like Scrubs and Green Wing. I'm not entirely sure why I'm interested in medical dramas, but i am.
