Is there a movie which is an analogy of your life?

For me it's Born on the Fourth of July

I'm not in a wheelchair, but I equate what happened to Tom Cruise's character with my life. My Aspergers didn't really become apparent until puberty, and my childhood was really happy. After puberty everything fell apart. The movie came out in 1989, when I was 23, and the contrast between the character's idyllic childhood and his life afterwards really impacted upon me.

Edward Scissorhands

Edward's Life:
At first Edward is alone with his works of art in his castle. Then someone shows up and brings him into the "real world", the social world. At first he does OK, but then he makes some mistakes that aren't really his fault because he doesn't know any better. Then everything goes to crap because everyone thinks he's behaving that way on purpose. Just when things couldn't get any worse, he winds up going right back to where he started - alone with his artwork at his castle.

My life:
My childhood begins with just me and my imagination/art at my house. Then I am thrust into the "real world", the social realm of school. I do OK in elementary school, but once junior high rolls around, I start making tons of social mistakes that aren't really my fault because I don't know any better. Then everything goes to crap because the kids at school and the majority of my family members think I'm behaving that way on purpose. Just when I can't take it anymore, I drop out of school and go right back to where I started - just me and my imagination/art at my house.

Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.
Robert DeNiro portrays the monster essentially as an Aspie, even though I realize that was probably never the intent. The monster is intelligent and eventually becomes articulate, though he is forever the outcast, and is painfully aware of how he is an outsider. In one confrontation with his maker, Dr. Frankenstein, the monster says, "You gave me these emotions, but you never taught me how to use them." He desperately needs just one soul to love him, and he would be at peace with all the rest of the world.
From the very first time I had seen the movie, I realized Robert DeNiro as Frankenstein's monster was me.

I really liked that movie. It is a archetypical American paradigm. A person with a deficient upbringing can by strength of character, focus of mind and hard work can overcome these deficiencies. I loved the scene where she told her worthless white trash family to take a hike.

If there is any movie out there that is like my life, it's probably some obscure indie hipster crap.

If there's a movie that is similar to my life, it's also going to be in the Most Boring Movie Ever thread. :D
