I hate this movie. not because of the aliens being too "impossible" because there was also some "impossible" s**t in the other movies (i.e. ark of the covenant, holy grail, ghosts, etc.) but because of the stupid bull crap that lucas put in like the monkeys, the ants, gophers, nuking the fridge, fake russian accents, shia labeouf, etc. who else hates this movie?

Worst. Indiana Jones. Ever.

I'd say it's very underrated. I thought it was great. Screw the cliches and fantasy that makes it unreal, the whole return to Indiana Jones was a nice treat .

I was invited to view this film at a local cinema with a family friend, and I was so stultified whilst watching it that I eventually removed a tooth that was original quite unmovable.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was the worst Indy flick ever.

Gross-out bug gags, monkey brains, Speilberg's obnoxious whiny b*tch of a wife caterwauling through the entire film, Indy being weak enough to be brainwashed (even temporarily) by some third rate Hindu Shaman, A stupid kid-on-kid fight sequence that looked cut from The Goonies Meet Oliver Twist - and it went on for effing ever!! !
That movie completely blew.

Except for Short Round, he was cool.


Kingdom of the Crystal Skull didn't suck THAT bad. I enjoyed the refrigerator gag, in fact the opening sequence was my favorite part of the movie, but I grew up in the 'Duck and Cover' era, so that was old home week for me. The final sequence with the aliens seemed a tad incoherent, and I absolutely despised Shia LeBouf, he couldn't act his way out of the proverbial paper bag. Also the whole 'Dad is dead, because Connery wouldn't do this film' explanation seemed contrived and unnecessary. I didn't hate it, but Raiders and Last Crusade were far and away the best moments of the franchise.

I watched the movie with high hopes! I couldn't believe that Indiana Jones was coming back, it was almost a dream! But I felt that they focused mostly on Shia Lebeouf & John Hurt more than Harrison Ford. I mean sure he is very old now and isn't as athletic as he used to be, specially for an action adventure flick. But when I go to see an Indiana Jones movie I want to see INDIANA F'N JONES! Don't get me wrong it's an ok movie, and it had its moments the aliens and bringing back Marion Ravenwood was a sweet touch. but it wouldn't be a movie I would recommend.

Although I'm not as big an Indy fan as some of the other posters (although from what I've seen of his adventures they do remind me a lot of those that once happened to Tintin, who I'm led to believe was globe trotting at around the same time...) I actually liked this Movie, although I must agree that I prefer the older ones....

I love all the Indy movies. This one was good but not great. The whole alien thing or as John Hurt called them "interdimensional beings" was far fetched but the journey leading up to it was OK despite some flaws. Who knows? Maybe those things weren't space aliens, maybe they were magical creatures from another dimension like unused extras in The Lord of the Rings. If Lucas and Speilberg ever make another one, no aliens.
