Now that the second new series of "Doctor Who" has finished on Australian TV, I thought I might run a poll of favourite episodes.

The two-parters are classified as one story. I would also like some feedback on your favourite moments, or your other favourite episodes.

Some good Who, but little without flaws,
(Contrast the pinnacle that was The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances)

and some of the worst Who ever made. (Love and Monsters)

Best was The Girl in the Fireplace. By far.

I agree that that was the best one-parter. However, I love "The Impossible Planet"/"The Satan Pit", although it's a pity it wasn't taken further. Gabriel Woolf obviously has a wide range of "omnipotent evil trapped below" voices, and the opening gag of "The Impossible Planet" is wonderful....

"We must feed..."

(taps translator)

"...you, if you are hungry."

The Girl in the Fireplace

I absolutely loved this episode and watched it over and over and over. I saw myself as the Doctor: a lonely traveler, going from place to place and not settling down, no home to return to... except that he got to kiss Sophia Myles, who was insanely beautiful in that episode! 8)
