The Crazy Kill

Episode of 'Thriller' from 3 May, 1975. One of the better ones: a psychopathic convict and his sidekick escape from prison and take refuge in a doctor's house, terrorizing the inhabitants. The former is played by Anthony Valentine, who specialized in unsavoury or dangerous characters in the 70s, and the doctor is played by Denholm Elliot. The plot is a pleasingly no-nonsense one, and though there's a 'twist' at the end, it's well handled and not a source of confusion or a piece of self-indulgence by the scriptwriters.

Me too! big pistols fan and that whole era of music ('77-'82) is definitely my favourite. What do you think of the show?

i've watched the 1st 2 episodes and whilst I'm enjoying it I feel the script is really letting it down. feels like every line is referencing a lyric from a pistols song or a famous quote. find the dialogue quite stilted and cringeworthy at times.

that said they seem to have got the period detail spot on and I'm loving the depictions of Johnny rotten and Malcolm maclaren in particular.

Most recent episode of Star Trek, Strange New Worlds which is a great show I'd say.

Good Salary, Prospects, Free Coffin

Episode of 'Thriller' from 10 May 1975. A very watchable espionage and identity-theft mystery, though there's little 'mystery' about what's going on after about half an hour of the proceedings. As usual, there's a 'twist in the tail', and as usual it's pretty far-fetched, but it ties in okay with the story and is well executed.

Do bear with me, I'll respond as soon as I've completed the series!

Don't worry about it, absolutely no rush! Hope you enjoy the rest of it. I've watched another episode since and feel its getting better as it goes.
