I watched Dirty Rotton Scoundrels and I loved it!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095031/

I thought the script must have been written by my evil twin with the even more wicked sense of humour! Everything about it was spot on. Even the placement of props was hilarious. I had to keep pausing it, to have time to notice things and laugh even harder.

Bizarrely, it happened to be a film which perhaps I ought to have found controversial and offensive, because it contained several scenes of someone making fun of autistics and pretending to be ret*d and doing exaggerated stimming.

I took it in the spirit in which it was intended, and laughed my head off.

Oh, and I watched another one before that, a couple of weeks ago, called Salsa.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229694/

It was a cheesy, predictable, one-dimensional play on stereotypes, but I'm into Latin dance, so I sat through it with great enjoyment!

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
The Girl Who Played With Fire should come from Netflix today.

LOL I love how I am so long-winded and other people are so effortlessly concise.

But you didn't really answer the question. You were supposed to say what you thought of the films, and do a mini-review.

The last movie I watched was one on the history of Absinthe. It was some documentary type thing and for the life of me I cannot recall the name of it. Does that count if it was like a documentary?

Anyway... I enjoyed it. It had a heavy focus on the different cultures in Paris that all kind of merged in their fondness of this drink and the way the movie was done it had this heavy artsy impact to reflect the 'green fairy' aspect of the drink that poets and artists dug on.

I did not, however enjoy all of the subtitles. After awhile my brain gets overloaded by that stuff, so I completely lost the last half hour of the thing...

Tron Legacy. It was quite awful.

re: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Oh. I loved it. I thought it was going to be all arty and poignant judging by the title and I wasn't in the mood for that so I
didn't see it when it was out in the theatres. It kicked ass, or Lisbeth Salander (possible aspie) did. I have an uncanny ability to make a really good movie or book sound boring, so I'm going to skip the review.

The last movie I've seen was a Knights Tale. I love that movie. I didn't realize that they refernce Canterbury Tales so much, but since I just read it I thought it was even funnier lol

I watched Star Trek last night. Every frame is perfect, but I tuned out most of the movie because I have already seen it about 100 times. And that's not even much of an exaggeration.

Saw it last night at Union, but I don't think it's that bad. Bad acting, probably, and not really a great story, but at least the A/V effects were quite well done.

Its interesting that this thread was made today (seeing how general it sounds). I just finished watching Temple Grandin today. I've gotta say, its currently my favourite movie. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely watch it again in the future, perhaps with my brother or my parents (I really want to show them this movie!!).

Blade Runner.

I watched the movie the other day after trying to get myself to do so for a very long time. I liked the visuals and the look(cyberpunk junkie :P) , but I thought the dialogue was sparse and that the characters weren't too fleshed out(I watched the director's cut, without narration). I did however love the end of the movie. I caught the hint that Deckard was a replicant. Then I sat down and began reading on the movie and thinking about what I saw. I began thinking about the film and watching bits and pieces of it. I realized how deep and philosophical the film was. Now, it's one of my favorite movies ever.

The King's Speech. It was a great movie, with excellent performances and a compelling if formulaic underdog story.

Next movie I'm anticipating seeing is Super.
