I hope this one makes more sense, and features emphasis on a character-driven plot instead of narration.

If one director (out of many directors) can pull this one off with great ease, it's Denis Villenueve.

Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 were great movies and here's hoping Villenueve can continue his delivering of great films that have strong appeal to them.

"Dune" certainly deserves better treatment than close-ups of Sting's abs and pecs. :roll:

There was also a TV mini-series of Dune, wasn't there?

I never saw it. I had trouble focusing on the 1984 version, too much politics for me.

It's about time they took another try at Dune. Splitting it in two might be a wise move.

I just hope the art direction is as good as the David Lynch version.
