Crazy Stupid Love-Most people say this sucked, but I decided to give this a chance.
Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell made a perfect odd couple and Emma Stone is
damn good as Steve Carell's daughter, as was Julianne Moore as Steve Carell's wife.

Captain America-I still don't understand why not a lot of people saw this.
Someone said this is a really good superhero movie & I absolutely agree.
If you haven't seen this, do rent a copy or buy a copy now that it's out on DVD.

Super 8-JJ Abrams wrote and directed an homage to the early works of
Steven Splieberg. This is well worth it if you rent or buy a copy. The kids were
really good as was the guy from Early Edition as the sheriff.

X-Men: First Class-Way better than X-Men 3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine combined.
Enough said.

Hanna-Think of this as The Bourne Identity if Jason Bourne had a daughter
and trained her to be just like him if her personality mixed with any Disney princess. Badass movie.

The Adjustment Bureau-Am I only the only one here who liked this?

Source Code-I'm looking forward to any future works from Duncan Jones.
This was not as good as Moon, but well worth seeing.

The Tree of Life: Don't know why people compared this to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This was nothing like 2001, although very well-done and beautifully made.

Larry Crowne: Laughed my ass off. Tom Hanks should direct more often.

Midnight in Paris: IMOO, this is Woody Allen's best in a long while.

The Guard: Laughed my ass off as this one too.
Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle were hilarious together.

Drive: Ryan Gosling got in touch with his inner badass for this.
This is another badass movie, a little too bloody for my taste, but awesome.

Moneyball: I'm not a big fan of Brad Pitt, but here he did very well
as an owner of a baseball team. Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman
pulled off terrific performances as well.

The Ides Of March: Maybe Clooney should team-up with Tom Hanks for a movie?
This was very good, awesome acting, and as good as a political movie can be.

Take Shelter: Can't wait to see Michael Shannon as General Zod in the new Superman movie,
but here he and Jessica Chastain were terrific.

Martha Marcy May Marlene: This movie freaked me out after I saw this, but this is a damn
good psychological drama about a woman who is emotionally & psychologically damaged,
thanks to a cult who she lived with for two years.

The Artist

I liked the first half, but then it sh*t its pants in the second.

This year all I've seen are Bureau, Captain America, The Thing, and X-Men. I found Bureau disappointing but loved the latter three. I haven't seen Sherlock Holmes yet, that comes tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll love it. Hell, just the trailer is better than the first movie.

Good list. I liked most of those, will check out the ones I haven't seen.

New Sherlock Holmes is reckoned very bad. I liked the first one.

By who? The majority of the reviews have been positive.

It's a slim majority, but a majority nonetheless.

I haven't seen a lot of movies this year, but I liked Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 and Just Go with It. The Harry Potter films have gotten a lot darker since the first four, and there isn't as much humor, but they're still good. I saw the most recent one with my family for my birthday back in August. I haven't read all the books, though. Just Go with It was pretty good, too. I saw it with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. Some of the jokes were kind of gross, but it was still funny. I bought a copy of it for my sister for Christmas. I'd like to see Puss in Boots when it comes out on DVD. My mother and I bought The Smurfs on DVD for Christmas -- can't wait to see that one! I think they look better in 2D, but I'd still like to see it.

Most of the movies I've seen this year have been good, but not great. But the best I can think of at the moment are Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Green Hornet.
Well see this week if I can add The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo to the list.

I'll get back to you after I see all the stuff that's out now and this weekend (Artist, War Horse, Tintin, MI4, Shame, Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock). It'll probably be around New Year's Eve (NO, that movie won't make the list) until I'm finally ready to stamp my top 10/15/20/whatever movies of the year.

I think it's safe to assume that I won't be seeing anything else this year, so here's my best-to-worst list:

Sherlock Holmes - 9/10
X-Men - 8/10
The Thing - 7.5/10
Captain America - 7/10
The Adjustment Bureau - 5/10

To be more specific on the last one:

The Adjustment Bureau (first half) - 7/10
The Adjustment Bureau (second half) - 2/10

^^ Greetings everyone,

I am very sorry as I believe that I have not viewed very many films who were released during this year, however I believe that I really enjoyed the following happy films:
