after seeing the whole series on DVD, i have something to say. it is great. although not as good as TAS, it is still better than most adaptations.

P.S. did anyone read the 2010 comic miniseries?

I only remember watching a handful of episodes, but "Return of the Joker" is fantastic.

I thought it was fairly interesting. I didn't follow it as religiously as TAS, but I did like the premise. As for Return Of The Joker, 2nd best animated Batman movie after Mask Of The Phantasm.

Yeah, I love Batman Beyond and I'd rank Return of The Joker as 2nd best Batman movie of all-time just behind The Dark Knight.

The chemistry/interplay between Bruce and Terry is great and Ace is the BEST Bat-sidekick EVAR!1!! :D

I'd like to see more of the older Terry from JLU Epilogue:

Maybe Justice League 2075....

I love it. I have been reading the comic and it hasn't been bad. I would say that when I first heard about this cartoon series I groaned and thought it was a ridiculous idea and than I watched and was amazed at how good it actually was.

I love it. It's a great show. Pity they only did three seasons. But it's awesome.

I watch the reruns on Kix! Who would have thought that a show about a teenage Batman who wasn't Bruce Wayne would have been good. I think Terry McGinnis is an interesting developing character and I love old Bruce Wayne being a grump most of the time and a good mentor/father figure to Terry. The Return of the Joker movie was awesome by the way. Mark Hamill's best performance yet.

Question...if a Batman Beyond movie is made...who should
play Terry McGinnis and old Bruce Wayne?

A few years ago, before Batman Begins was made, they were actually planning on making a Batman Beyond film. I don't remember hearing anyone suggested for Terry, but they were apparently looking at Paul Newman for Bruce. That would have been fantastic. Unfortunately it's not possible now that he's dead. Maybe they could get Clint Eastwood to play an older version of Bale's Batman, since they seem to have the same ridiculous growl.

Clint Eastwood would be badass as an old Bruce Wayne,
but he's retired from acting.

Jeff Bridges, maybe?

As for Terry, it would be hard to find someone who can
be convincing as a party lover, since Terry likes to party and get drunk.

1.} Shia LeBeouf

2.} Daniel Radcliffe

3.} Colin Farrell

4.} Somebody Else

Jeff Bridges would be a better Bruce Wayne, I think, in an adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns, where Wayne is 55 years old. I think he should be a bit older in Batman Beyond, more like 70 or 80. Clint Eastwood would be my first choice. Retired or not, he wouldn't have to do much. As for Terry, I’m not too familiar with young actors, so I can’t come up with a huge list of good actors who could pass for 17 years old. Nicholas Hoult, perhaps?

In the cartoon version of Batman Beyond, Terry appeared to be in
his early 20s, so maybe Alex Pettyfer {I Am Number 4} as Terry, perhaps?

As for an older Bruce Wayne, how say Jeff Daniels?

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Batman Beyond, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Terry was 16 at the beginning of the show. His age wouldn’t be a big issue for me in a film, though. Make him 16, make him 20, make him 25. As long as the basic idea is there – an elderly Bruce Wayne chooses a young successor in the near future.

Let’s say anything from 16 to 25 is acceptable. If so, my first choice would be Anton Yelchin. I would also look at Aaron Johnson. I haven’t seen Alex Pettyfer in anything, so I can’t judge him. Daniel Radcliffe is a possibility, but I also haven’t seen him in anything, aside from the time that I tried to watch Harry Potter 2 and fell asleep.

Jeff Daniels is only 56. I would want Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond to be much older, too old to even think about putting on the suit. Aside from Clint Eastwood, I’d also look at John Hurt, Peter Fonda, James Caan, James Brolin... but I’m just pulling random names out.
