Naruto The Abridged Comedy Fandub Spoof Series Show
Anyone seen this abridged series of Naruto by LittleKuriboh? And yes, the thread title is in fact the abridged series actual title. Apparently, it started out as an April Fools' joke, a parody of a Naruto abridged series itself. It caught my eye while I was browsing TV-Tropes, as the page on that site for Abridged Series features a quote from this spoof, about abridged series (referenced to in metaphor a 'a bridge'). I thought this was a pretty funny piece of dialogue, and attempted to skip through the Naruto spoof (as I had never seen Naruto anyway), only to find that this abridged series is pretty hilarious. It employs absurd humour out of left field with a couple of clever, subtle jokes and also some great running gags. And I've still never seen Naruto, yet that doesn't stop me from enjoying this.
Below is the pilot:

At one point, they introduce the character Kakashi, and pretty much have him be David Bowie in disguise. It is better than it sounds.

Oh I love abridged series. They make fun of cartoons that come from Japan by making them weirder, which sounds like such an impossibility but some of them manage to do it. The resulting inanity breaks my mind in a way that leaves me in complete hysterics.
Frickin' LOVE abridged series!

It is especially funny if you have previously watched other abridged series, especially the first abridged series. LittleKuriboh seems to enjoy making making characters who were done fairly seriously and make them crazy, while characters that were done silly in a more serious tone to poke fun. Like rower going from trying to get attention to very monotone, Kakashi being relativly normal to an purposly overdone David Bowie, Zabuza going from joke voice to very cool, and the Hokage going from senile idiot to just wanting to be left alone.
It was largely based at abridging all together, like for One Piece that no one seemes to be able to do (done purposly bad), self made abridger celebrities who give some sort of awards to what they think is best. And the metaphor for building 'a bridge' was nothing but jabs at the comunity with one of the Naruto abridgers voicing a character working on the bridge, which is essentialy to become the 'Naruto bridge', geniously bringing it back.
Also great that though LK was the first abridger, he doesn't have a big head about it and actually makes fun of himself, I cracked up when for a picture of himself. You should check out a video he made before he did before he made the Naruto spoof parody where he pretends to be a Narutard and make fun of his own series and says Naruto abridged was better, under the alias of LittleUK saying why Naruto Abridged was better, it annoys people who don't really realise that it is actually him (carefull there is swearing).

As you guys are familiar with abridged series in general, I'm using this little thread to point you to teamfourstar.com so you can check out their little parody of Dragon Ball Kai (it's their latest video). Whether it's accurate, I can't say, and you shouldn't expect a TFS abridged DBZ episode in the traditional sense, but I thought this was pretty funny.
Also, Bradleigh, your Gurren Lagann signature makes me want to go ROW ROW FIRE FLOWER! ROW ROW EISENHOWER! ROW ROW I LIKE JACK BAUER!
F-IN' ROWER!! !!
