Star Trek: Nemesis(2002) is better than the 2009 Star Trek movie in my opinion.

How anyone could think The Dark Knight is the best film of the decade is a far more bizarre mystery to me.

To each their own, Jory. The reason why it's top of my top 10 is that it single handedly obliterates Joel Schumacher's entries without even breaking a sweat.

It's the best film of the decade for you simply because it's better than Batman Forever and Batman & Robin? If you like the film more than me, that's fine, but at least tell me why you think it's better than District 9, Memento, and No Country for Old Men.

Hmmm, i see your point. :? I'm literally stumped as to what answer i can provide you with. No Country for Old Men is great, don't get me wrong. But i'm not one for slow steady tension build-up (With the exception of Alien) in movies, District 9 is criminally underrated but deals with very sensitive topics and was a real gem after 09 served up two disappointing sequels, and Memento demands repeat viewings.

Don't take this the wrong way, i love all 3 said flicks. It's just difference of opinion, and the Dark Knight is a great flim in my eyes. If i could rejig my list, i might do.

^ It's fine if it's at the top of your list. :) I'm just hoping that you like it for reasons other than the fact that it's better than two very bad films.

I'm not sure I could even come up with a list for this topic. I'm horrible at things like this. All I can say with certainty is that my favorite of 2000-2009 is Children of Men. It's a crime that nobody has mentioned it yet.

Children of Men is another underrated flick, it's dystopian background has that political and dictatorship elements to it.

As for the Dark Knight, i'm a big Batman fan and love it for being one of the best comic-book movies ever. Yes, Christian Bale's voice may sound annoying to the casual observer and the plot does tend to drag (Hong Kong scene not needed), but who cares when you have Heath Ledger stealing every scene as Mister J and Aaron Eckhart shining as a credible Two-Face?
