Well there hasn't been a very good karaoke film in well....ever! (I haven't seen Duets with Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow so I don't know). I think music video-like movies should make a comeback since the remake of Footloose will be in theatres in the Fall (puke!) I want this parctiular film to have a great '80s and early '90s pop songs with a couple of originals that would perfectly with that er...a. It'll either take place in Pittsburgh or Detroit in 1991 (before Grunge took over the scene). I like to see Linda Cardellini play a Patrick Swayze-like mentor (a female Johnny Castle) who teaches a blue collar man eight years her junior how to use his talents and they fall in love in the process.
I'll call this movie....KARAOKE NIGHTS!
