Anyone else wrong 90% of the time on actors?

I mean yeah, if its someone real obvious I'm okay but, if I'm ever watching a movie and there's someone who seems familiar and I start wondering if they've been in something else, I've noticed that I'm almost always wrong. Am I just that bad with facial recognition or are there just that many middle-weight to small-time actors who look and act alike?

I can usually get the minor actors in most movies. Not because I'm especially adept at facial recognition, because I memorize call lists on movies as a pass time.

:lol: My fiance just joined WP and when I saw the name of your post I immediately thought it would be him! He's wrong about actors 95% of the time. I used to worry that his vision was terrible but he sees just fine - it's just faces that don't stick apparently. It's not exclusive to television either - he's rather notorious for calling people by the wrong name, though I'm not exactly sure that one is a facial recognition problem.

Anyways, you're definitely not alone! Alot of Aspies & people on the spectrum have trouble with facial recognition (aka - Prosopagnosia)

If a person looks similar to what they looked like from another movie I can tell that I have seen them before.

I was never good at recognizing actors until I recently started tearing apart IMDB for my favorite shows and movies
