"Star Trek: The Animated Series" from the 1970s also became available recently on Netflix streaming. It's funny how people were complaining about them raising prices since every Star Trek show was added at the same time among other things.

Ever since their pricing change announcement I've tried to find compatible alternative. TBH nothing comes close. I think maybe Blockbuster is as close as you're going to get but their system requires you travel to their stores to pick up the movies. For streaming you have per-view costs. Red Box is a joke... horribly small selection. Basically $7 for DVDs sent to me in the mail and $7 to watch unlimited movies and TV shows online (esp ALL the Star Trek series!) is the only realistic value I've seen so far.

That Star Trek cartoon won an Emmy award back in the day, and I actually prefer it over TOS. Have you watched it yet?

The Star Trek shows have been on Netflix for a few months now, except for DS9, which was my favorite. It figured that my favorite would be the only one unavailable for streaming. DS9 was just added a couple of weeks ago, I think? I started watching it again from the beginning. I should be done with season 2 in the next day or two.

I have been working my way threw every episode for a few weeks. I am currently watching Star Trek: Deep Space 9, season 5, episode 1, Apocalypse Rising.

I actually found TAS unwatchable.

It even has the voices of all the actors except for Walter Koenig(Chekov).

It's pretty funny the cartoon Enterprise looks more realistic than TOS before they re-did the special effects recently.
