Waste of time, money, and effort.

Why do they not try to write a completely NEW story, rather than re-hash the same old stuff that we're already familiar with?

Like how say...Rose, after the sinking, suffers from PTSD
and meets Jack's brother Jesse?

Ugh, why? And since it's originally a 2-D movie they'll have to artificially "colorize" it into 3-D. I'd rather see a 3-D remake-from-scratch than that.

I only recently discovered that when a 2D movie is converted to 3D, it's a long and painstaking process in which every individual frame of the movie needs to be converted. Considering how poor I've been told 2D to 3D conversion looks (I haven't seen any movie in 3D), I assumed that it was a quick process that involved little more than a few mouse clicks.

Oh well. At least all that hard work is being put to good use on great movies, like...

...Titanic and the Star Wars prequels.

I'm going to go see it. I've always wanted to see Titanic in theaters, and since I was too young to see it at the time that it came out, this is a perfect opportunity for me.

I think that movie would actually be more bearable in 1D.
