What are your top favorite horror movies?

Mine are:
1. Evil Dead 2
2. The Exorcist
3. Hellbound: Hellraiser 2
4. John Carpenter's The Thing
5. Seven
6. Hellraiser
7. Dead Alive (aka Braindead)
8. The Evil Dead
9. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
10. The Gate

Hard question, but id probably say Pandorum. It has a Huge mind-screw aspect to it to say the least. It also adresses some serious questions that can pertain to real life as well. Namely the whole "If we do go into space for extremely long periods, how would it change us?"

I liked Pandorum.

Apart from those I haven't really seen anything that else that stands out.

I love horror but there's only three horror movies I can list as my top favorites.

1. Night of the Living Dead (the Tom Savini remake)
2. Ju-On: The Grudge
3. The Craft

I know some people consider The Craft more of a teen drama than a true horror movie, but I think the film got kind of scary towards the end especially when the three girls put the spell on Sarah that made her see all those snakes, bugs, and rats in her house, let alone the fact that they started using their powers to murder people and attempted to kill her.

I've only seen the American version of The Grudge. Is the original way better? I would assume it is.
I guess The Craft could be considered horror. Either way I did like that movie, I've watched it a number of times.

Plenty, but there are only four that I consider myself a huge fan of, which I practically have memorized at this point:

Nosferatu (1922)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
The Thing (1982)

Yeah the original Japanese version of The Grudge is a lot better. For starters it made more sense to me because it was set in Japan and actually had Japanese characters, I mean why would so many Americans living in Japan all end up in the same cursed house? There are some Americans living in Japan but the chances of so many of them entering the same cursed house isn't very likely and just shows that the film was only intended to appeal to Americans who can't relate to Japanese characters. I also have the second Ju-On film which is pretty good and has a really disturbing ending. You should definetly see these movies.

I'll have to check it out then. I did think the original Ring was better than the American one, so I"ll probably like Ju-On.

jisatsu circle was pretty good.

I'm not really into horro movies but lots of people assume I am for some reason I don't know. My fav is Death Bed; The Bed That Eats

I looked it up and it looks interesting. Netflix doesn't have it on streaming though, I'll have to see if I can find it elsewhere.

it is very interesting. there is also a manga on it if that interests you. i think finding that is a tiny bit simpler then finding a dvd of it. as it is i had to order it specially with english subtitles
