Black Mirror is a three part series by Charlie Brooker about the modern world, with each episode telling a completely different story using a different cast and setting.

So far, two episodes have aired. The first, I disliked, because even though it made a valid point about human nature, it was disgusting. Essentially, the plot revolved around terrorists who blackmailed the Prime Minister into having sex with a pig on live TV. Yeah 8O

The second episode, though, I enjoyed very much. It's depressing, but brilliant. It's set in a dystopian future where everyone peddles bikes to create power (with people unable to peddle the bikes being reduced to the lower class) while watching TV all day, with their only aspirations being to get on TV themselves. I won't say anymore, lest I spoil it for you, but honestly, it's amazing, and probably a whole lot better than I made it sound.

The third episode will air this week.

You can watch it online (officially and legally) here: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/blac ... od#3264068

Second episode is highly recommended :)

Yeah, that first one was really rather disturbing for me too.

The second one is slow to start but it's worth watching, I found it very good.

UK only? I tried the link and got the message "ERROR: The service is not currently available in your area."

Yeah, 4OD is UK only I'm afraid. You have to use a proxy or some slightly more dodgy sites I guess.

Told ya! It's very well thought out social commentary, I guess it's meant to show where we'll end up if we keep on going as we are and I agree entirely. I did laugh at the irony of the constant ad breaks on the 4OD stream though :P

Ha that's why I never watch telly.. But I actually was more drawn to the pig piece for some reason.
Hope they'll release some more.

The pig one makes a very good point, it's just disturbing :pig: :eew:

There's one more episode, no idea if there'll be a second series at some point in the future though.

Is it illegal to simply depict it?

I think a mere penis is illegal.
