Jory: I love you for being a Holmes buff, and I will check out those books, they sound excellent. I agree wholeheartedly about The Blind Banker. A Study in Pink was superb, and then by comparison Blind Banker was just not as good. Hound Of The Baskervilles should be interesting, and a Scandal in Bohemia is one of my absolute favorites, I'm very glad they're doing those.
Seriously, what's up with the 3 episodes a season nonsense? I hope it doesn't end up like Fawlty Towers, with 12 episodes and so much potential.
Holmes is admittedly pretty darn arrogant, but to be fair, he is a genius, he is probably an aspie, or as Safffron quoted, a highly-functioning sociopath. However, he does show emotional attachment to Watson, one would even say in the Blind Banker he's almost jealous that Watson is spending time with his new girl, and that to me does not denote a sociopath. I would bet on him being an Aspie, just look at his powers of observation, his knowledge of obscure things, the astounding visual recall of memories, etc.
Emlion: That's one of my reasons for loving it too, they are just SOOOOOO good in their roles, it's amazing.
