Who knows of this show? I swear it has to be one of the best series ever, and nobody has ever heard about it! It's traditional Japanese gameshow abuse at it's finest. Release the DVD's already dammit!

Plus, Takeshi Kitano is my favorite Japanese director. Zatoichi, anyone?

I saw it a few times on TV1 or The Comedy Channel on Pay TV a few times. Has anyone ever won the final battle sequences?

Apparently, there is an English DVD release. Look at the bottom of this article at Wikipedia...

On Uk Challenge ( quiz show cable channel).
Very watchable with commentary dubbed by Craig Charles,

One show lasts about a day, but they cut it down to half an hour for television viewing.

The shows were made round about 1990 - 1991 ish.
